As we bid a fond farewell to our marketing intern Mariya James from Queen's University Belfast, we at Ormeau Business Park find ourselves reflecting on the past 12 weeks with gratitude and pride. This internship has been more than just a learning experience - it's been a journey of collaboration, creativity, and mutual growth. Our intern quickly became an integral part of our team, bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm that energized our entire team. Together, we've tackled challenges, celebrated victories, and pushed the boundaries of our marketing efforts. From brainstorming sessions that sparked innovative campaigns to the shared excitement of seeing our projects come to life, every day brought new opportunities to learn from each other. We're immensely grateful for the dedication, hard work, and positive spirit our intern brought to Ormeau Business Park. Your presence has left a lasting impact on our team and our work. Our partnership with Queen's Business School continues to enrich our organisation, bringing bright minds and new perspectives that help us stay at the forefront of the ever-evolving marketing landscape. To our departing intern: thank you for your contributions, your energy, and for being such a wonderful addition to our Ormeau Business Park family. We wish you every success in your future endeavours and hope that your time with us has been as rewarding for you as it has been for us. Here's to new beginnings and the bright future that lies ahead! #ThankYouIntern #OrmeauBusinessPark #QueensUniversityBelfast #MarketingInternship #GrowingTogether Mariya James #Kudos We want to take a moment to say #ThankYou for your work.

What are you getting if you hire someone with a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies? Since our programme is interdisciplinary and mixes business and politics, there are a lot of options, so it might be better to ask what our graduates CAN’T do, but to narrow it down, we like to share examples. So this week, while we’re on a short holiday at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, we’re sharing stories about students who are doing their mandatory internship, which is a great way to get a sense of what our graduates do and what they have to offer. Today, we hear from Charis Janzen, who recently finished her internship at GoBright, an office innovation company. “I successfully completed my Marketing Internship and I ended it in such a special way: organising the company's Yearly Team Event! I am grateful that I was entrusted with this responsibility amongst many others. I would not necessarily describe my internship as just an internship, but rather an in-depth experience of today's working culture. I was surrounded by the best colleagues and received great guidance. This internship taught me so much about the smart workplace solutions market and the different stakeholders that are involved. It taught me the importance of truly knowing the company you're working for as well as the brand, because that informs the way you communicate. I believe I was wel prepared by European Studies THUAS for this internship and I am also grateful for the knowledge I was given beforehand. Now, I look forward to finishing the last phase of my studies: my thesis.” We wish you luck on that thesis Charis and look forward to seeing you graduate later this year. If you want to know more about what our graduates have to offer, or if you think your organisation would benefit from some European studies interns, check the links in our bio or get in touch at any time.

Summertime and the livin’ is easy … but our interns sure worked hard! These emerging young professionals are part of The Johnson Group's 2024 cohort of 25 interns from nine colleges and universities, and they spent the past three months immersed in meaningful responsibilities while turning classroom theories into real-world practice. Just before everyone headed back to school — or, in some cases, moved into full-time jobs with us — we gathered ‘round for a quick Q&A. The full chat is on our news blog https://lnkd.in/e_viG9fH and here are a few of our favorite takeaways: The structured programs ensured that 𝒘𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆 and valuable experience. ~ Jacob Collins 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚, which not only enhanced my learning and experience but also made my work truly impactful. ~ Jackson Crump The opportunity to work in such a supportive atmosphere 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑰 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒅 to get my work done and not be afraid to ask questions. ~ Diana Fajardo 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒅 displayed on the properties’ websites, social media, and even in the hotels themselves. ~ Taylor Gravley 𝑰 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑰 𝒈𝒐. Today, at the Hilton Top Solicitors Female Virtual Internship/Mentorship Program hosted by Deborah Enyone Oni (LLB. BL. LLM. NIM), I learnt about "Product Innovation and Iteration" from our speaker, Adekanbi Oluwaseun. A product, whether tangible or intangible, fulfills consumer needs or desires and is managed through Product Management, which involves researching, planning, building, releasing, and optimizing products for user benefit. Essentially, having a good product is vital for a better life, as knowledge of product management is applicable in various aspects. Product Innovation involves developing new or significantly improved products to meet evolving customer needs, technology, or market trends, while Product Iteration focuses on making incremental improvements based on feedback, data analysis, and market conditions. Innovation entails transformative changes, whereas iteration involves incremental adjustments. Essentially, innovation drives substantial transformations and introduces fresh concepts, whereas iteration concentrates on improving and optimizing current products using feedback and market observations. Both are essential in product development to guarantee products stay relevant, competitive, and in line with customer requirements and market dynamics. #emergingtech #womenempowerment #internship #mentorship #DeborahEnyoneOni

Came in and found this last night. 📚 Bought this book in Hawaii right before my internship with Cresa 🌺 Remember wanting to learn everything about commercial real estate. I still get to learn everyday and am probably going to be learning for the next 20 years🤣 Looking back on it CRE investing seems like a pretty dumb thing to read about before starting an internship, but I vividly remember going to the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu and asking the Powells Books employee for every book they had on Commercial Real Estate. Oh how time flies! #CommercialRealEstate #InternshipMemories #AlwaysLearning
