It happened again today. Someone thought they knew what would be best for a close family member, who was the injured individual. They convinced them to get temporary treatment so they could drive several hours home and be treated definitively for an injury that required surgery. 😳 While their intentions might have been good, their advice was NOT. As a result, this person whom should have had their surgery done right then and there, declined and made the trip back home. Now, as a result, because of their decision, two procedures will need to be done rather than one. This is most likely due to the delay from the initial treatment and time between their ER visit and outpatient follow up. This happens with sports injuries all the time. While the timeline may vary, I see the same scenario play out time and time again. Wouldn't you rather have someone in your corner looking out for your best interest who knows the field? Who does this every day? Who is aware of the minute details that could potentially alter the course of your recovery??? I know, in this world it can be tough to trust people you do not know. However, with the advent of social media and technology, now more than ever, you can have experts by your side with the click of a mouse button. Let ILP Sports Consultants LLC help you get through those challenges you might be facing due to athletic injury. Call today for free no commitment consultation. I help people heal faster and regain their quality of life by offering patient-focused solutions that also drive exceptional revenue growth. Green Beret Veteran | Veteran Advocate I SDVOSB
For 13 years, I served in the military, 10 of those in the special operations community. Let's just say I pushed my body to the limits – and sometimes, it pushed back. I was young and had not accepted my mortality. A nasty injury had me in physical therapy for six months, doing two sessions a day. Let me tell you, I became intimately familiar with the frustration, pain, and unwavering will to recover that patients face. This was the first time I truly understood how lucky I was to have a chance to come back. Witnessing that fight firsthand is what fueled my passion for Wood-Works Medical Solutions Group. We develop innovative medical solutions designed to optimize healing and get people back to their active lives faster without drugs. (If you need them, that's fine. It just might not be the only option.) Here's why orthopedic and PT practices should consider Wood-Works: -Shorten recovery timelines: Our products are built to accelerate the healing process, allowing patients to return to peak performance quickly. -Boost patient morale: Faster progress keeps patients motivated and engaged in their therapy. -Veteran-owned with a mission: We understand the importance of resilience and are dedicated to supporting the healthcare community. Have you ever faced a long, grueling PT journey? Share your story in the comments! #PhysicalTherapy #Orthopedics #MedicalDevices #PatientRecovery #MilitaryLife #Resilience P.S. 💡Dr. Ally: Ask Me Anything 💡 🤨 Dr. Ally explains why patients should have a yearly check-in with their pelvic pain specialist at PRM. The PRM Protocol™ is essential in treating the pelvic nerves to reduce inflammation caused by endometriosis, which can often result in issues with the bowel and bladder. The PRM Protocol™ is a direct treatment to the pelvic floor nerves and muscles, to reset, retrain, and reverse inflammation and spasm. At PRM, We offer a proprietary, simple, office-based procedure to treat the symptoms of chronic pelvic pain. The PRM Protocol™ consists of a series of pelvic nerve and muscle treatments to directly target inflammation in the pelvis and nerve pain. Depending on the condition causing your pelvic pain, other modalities may be needed in addition to our treatment. At PRM, our endometriosis excision surgeons work alongside our pelvic nerve and muscle specialists to ensure our patients receive the best care - before, during, and after their surgery - for optimal surgical outcomes. https://bit.ly/3UUlAay 💜

Should you be getting a total or a partial knee replacement surgery? It really depends on how bad your knee arthritis is AND whether your surgeon is trained in doing both. Partial knee replacement surgery is not done by all knee surgeons since it is an advanced surgery. Most knee surgeons are well trained in doing total knee replacements as it is the most common type of knee replacement surgery. But if it's right for your situation, you may benefit from having a partial knee replacement. In this video, Dr. David explains the difference between a partial knee replacement and a total knee replacement. ▶️ WATCH NOW: https://lnkd.in/gMRJGjKK
