We had a blast on day 2 of TITAS! Our Co-founder and CEO, Jing L. Chao, shared some thought-provoking insights on the role of AI and sustainability in transforming the textile industry. Here are a few highlights from her keynote: 🔹 The textile industry produces 1.2 billion tons of CO2 annually, contributing to 10% of global emissions. The need for sustainable practices is clear. 🔹 A major challenge for brands is tracking product-level emissions. Many lack the digital tools to effectively report on their carbon footprints. 🔹 Global regulations, like the Climate Change Act and the EU’s CBAM, are pushing the industry towards more transparent and sustainable operations. 🔹 Digital solutions, like fabric digitization, are helping reduce physical waste, improve efficiency, and provide the data needed to meet sustainability goals. Jing’s talk was a great reminder of how technology can support environmental responsibility in fashion. As a side note, it was AMAZING to see so many global textile companies using Frontier's 3D-ready digital fabrics! Want to get involved?
