Our staff had the pleasure of joining Town of Hempstead Supervisor Don Clavin and Senior Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby at a Community Health Fair sponsored by #Anthem on Saturday, July 20th. Services ranged from free blood pressure and heart health checks, physical therapy screenings, hearing and speech screenings, mental wellbeing support, and much more. As always, we are honored for the opportunity to partner with the community. #BuildingHeathlyLives #OPINY

"With patient navigation, [it's] that extra layer of checking in with somebody, making sure that all of their socioeconomic needs are met, and their mental health needs are addressed within a family planning visit, and any other need that may arise that may contribute to their physical health that the provider is not able to address at that visit. " In our latest video, learn how the Konza Prairie Community Health Center, a #TitleX funded service site, partners with a local agency to provide patient navigation services that address maternal health needs and help to deliver #WholePersonCare in rural Kansas: https://lnkd.in/gfHa4wEU

I have ongoing concerns about the reckoning that is still looming with regards to the significant decline in social engagement. Face-to-face engagement! The impacts of the post-pandemic, cell phone driven, remote/hybrid work environment we live in presently have not been fully realized. I think the social isolation, that grows each day will be the most significant challenge of the next decade. We all need to realize that people time, conversation, and human engagement are the nourishments our lives need. We need to think about how we can get back that part of our missing reality. Perhaps the next campaign, in addition to “Let’s Talk” should be “Let’s Do” or “Let’s Engage”. Re-post and spread the word. More importantly set up a walk, or a lunch or share in a moment with friends.

Community Engagement Advocate 👩💻 | PhD Student 🤓 | Grant Management Specialist ✍️ | Non-Profit & Government Pro 🏛
Had the incredible opportunity to attend the **California Mental Health Services Authority Housing Strategies Workshop** in Sacramento on September 5th, alongside many dedicated county behavioral health organizations from across the state. We were so immersed in the discussions and collaboration that I completely forgot to snap any photos – a sign of just how engaged we were! 👩🏼💻 Some of the key takeaways: - We are navigating an increasingly competitive housing market, making it more challenging to secure beds. - Fiscally sustainable facilities are vital, and maximizing space is a must to meet growing demand. - Exciting, innovative housing programs are emerging, like pet hotels to keep beloved companions out of shelters. - Important updates on Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) that will shape future strategies. The conversations were thought-provoking, and I walked away inspired by the solutions being developed. Looking forward to seeing how these strategies unfold in our communities! Feel free to drop a comment or reach out if you want to chat more about these insights! #HousingSolutions #BehavioralHealth #CalMHSA #InnovationInHousing #PublicHealth #RiversideCounty #RiversideCA

Community Outreach Specialist at La Amistad Behavioral Health Services | Building Stronger Community Partnerships
Happy World Gratitude Day! Today, let’s take a moment to reflect on the power of gratitude. As a Community Outreach Specialist at La Amistad Behavioral Health Services, I see firsthand how expressing appreciation can transform lives and build stronger communities. Gratitude isn’t just about saying “thank you”—it’s about recognizing the efforts of those around us and fostering a culture of kindness and support. Whether it’s our dedicated healthcare partners, compassionate therapists, or the resilient individuals we serve, every act of gratitude strengthens our collective mission. Let’s celebrate the small victories, acknowledge the big efforts, and spread positivity. Together, we can make a difference, one “thank you” at a time. #WorldGratitudeDay #MentalHealth #CommunityCare #ThankYou
