1moAnother really interesting conversation and great to hear from people who actually know this stuff works (or doesn't). A few reactions I noted while I was listening: Why would you *NOT* use evidence to help you decide? These decisions are really complicated and nuanced, and that is really difficult to convey to a mass audience, and really isn't going to be helped by the shouty nature of much of our public discourse The 5 year fiscal rules - is this the tail wagging the dog? And if so is the right tail even on the right dog? And finally, just how much of the worlds economy relies on Excel spreadsheets, and am I worrying unduly about this?
