Mike, your highly insightful post needs to be shared. The challenge is not achieving targets it is the unskilled mangers 24/7 talking targets presenting KPI graphs and not able to present proven methods in throwing the darts. Sharing evidenced based good practice delivery methods, organisations over achieve their aspirations and leave a sustainable footprint.

You can't be what you can't see. It's so important to get young people, particularly those from underrepresented groups, into the buildings where decisions are made. To show them that they can contribute. To help them envision themselves as the future leaders they are capable of becoming. I had the privilege of joining Youth Leads UK's Civic Leadership Steering Group - a group of talented young people from diverse backgrounds challenging the status quo. The energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives they brought were truly inspiring. Inclusion is not just about giving opportunities but also about creating environments where everyone feels they belong and can thrive.
