I don't think so. Open World MCRC ON Audit has exposed the nonfeasance of the Belgian scientific and medical community. We therefore addressed ten different institutions worldwide hoping that they shall be able to find a solution where the Belgian scientific and medical has failed and/or refused to consider alternatives. Reaction? Complete inertia. Have the "best" medical universities in the world made this a better world? No. Not interested. Time to replace ALL UNIVERSITIES with CIS & WCA.

Professor of Cardiology, EAPCI & PCR Boards, past-president French Society of Cardiology. EAPCI President-Elect
This week I attended a high-level conference at the Academy of Medicine with Jean SIBILIA, Dean of the University of Strasbourg Faculty of Medicine, where he discussed the reform of the first year of medical studies in France. The objective of the new system (PASS/LAS) is to increase diversity, avoid exam retakes by introducing continuous assessment and oral exams, and to improve pedagogy. The previous PASS: admission system was based on high school exam grades and scientific background. The new system aims to increase admission from bachelors' degrees, and be more liberal arts-oriented. There is currently significant diversity in the implementation of this reform across French universities

We've got a two-for-one deal for readers of Stories From Beyond Academia today! We talk with Dr Billy Bryan who tells us first about his own experience of moving out of medical education research into the world of consulting, evaluation and industry research. But that's not all, we also talk about a research project he's been involved in, investigating how PhDs gauge the value of their doctoral study (remember 'worth doing but not worth having'?). Sounds pretty relevant to us, right? Link in the comments - check it out!
