"Imagine a future where every individual in Pennsylvania can swiftly, affordably, and reliably access quality, safe health care. Nurse practitioners are a proven solution to making this a reality for Pennsylvania patients and full practice authority legislation is a proven solution to making this happen NOW. Nurse practitioners serve as a frontline solution to an ongoing access crisis. NPs carry out life saving diagnoses, treatment of chronic conditions, and preventative interventions at Convenient Care Clinics on a daily basis." – Mike Clark, Policy Director of the Convenient Care Association #CareForPA #NursePractitioners #FullPracticeAuthority #AccessToCare #ConvenientCareClinics #PatientCare

Minimum staffing levels for nursing homes is a good thing for patients, families, and staff. The challenge seems to come down to owner intent and legitimate qualified staffing shortages often impacted by geography and state Medicaid rates. Given the independent medical requirements for nursing home admission some states could save the 15% MCO administrative/profitability cost, increase NH rates, and pay cost settled FFS. #backtothefuture
