Simple Self-Care, Lasting Wellness One year ago, I had the privilege of sharing simple self-care techniques at a community event at Mount Faber Zone B. It was a heartwarming experience—laughter, learning, and connection filled the air. At Ouch, we taught seniors easy acupressure techniques for insomnia, indigestion, stiff shoulders, back pain, and knee pain. Just a few simple steps empowered them to take charge of their health, anywhere, anytime. The smiles on their faces reminded me why I love doing this. TCM is about balance, care, and prevention—accessible for everyone, no matter the age. Sometimes, wellness isn’t about drastic changes but small, consistent actions. A gentle massage on acupressure points can bring relief and peace, naturally. Here’s to more moments of wellness and community care! **What simple self-care practice helps you feel better daily?** Let’s share and inspire each other. #CommunityWellness #SelfCare #TraditionalChineseMedicine #SeniorsHealth

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 🪑🔄 The modern age has seen an uptick in sedentary lifestyles, especially with the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. While it's widely accepted that excessive sitting can be detrimental to health, not all sitting contexts are the same. A recent study reveals that while screen time is negatively associated with subjective well-being, activities like socializing, reading, or playing an instrument while seated can have positive associations. 📺❌📖✅ The key takeaway? It's not just about reducing sitting time, but also discerning what kind of sitting to reduce. As we navigate the evolving landscape of work and leisure, understanding these nuances can guide healthier choices for both body and mind. 🧠🌱 For a comprehensive exploration of this topic, please read the full article: https://snip.ly/w1kojs #SittingResearch #WellbeingInsights #HealthChoices #ModernLifestyles

Positive beliefs about aging can influence cognitive health 🙂🧠 “Among participants with normal cognition or MCI at baseline, those with positive age beliefs had lower MCI prevalence…significantly less likely to develop MCI over the following 12 years compared with those with negative age beliefs” https://lnkd.in/gkb3s8hc Positive beliefs are often associated with healthy behaviors and both can be strengthened. How can you promote beliefs about healthy aging today?
