Here's a huge point of pride for us at PARC: More than half of our residences are now LEED®️ Gold certified! 🙌 LEED is the international standard for sustainability excellence, and it means that our residences have been designed and constructed to minimize environmental impact. 🌱 Needless to say, we're thrilled to be among a limited number of retirement communities around the world that have achieved LEED Gold. About us
Independent Senior Living. Where residents and employees thrive. PARC Retirement Living is a privately owned company, specializing in building and managing seniors’ lifestyle residences in Vancouver’s Lower Mainland. Owner, Rainer Muller, incorporated the company in 2004. As a trained architect in Europe, the course of his career was changed when his own mother moved into a retirement living community in Switzerland. Rainer was inspired by how enriched her life became, and this fueled his passion and vision for retirement residences featuring high-quality construction, fresh food, active living programs and services. PARC Retirement Living now employs 350 staff and operates six, unique, award-winning residences. Our employees refer to us as a dynamic workplace, where they inspire one another through optimism and compassion. PARC Retirement Living contributes approximately $300,000 annually to neighborhood organizations that benefit the lives of seniors. Our mission is to ensure residents thrive through an active, enriched lifestyle in all of our communities. Developed as part of our ongoing research into independence as we age, the PARC Active Living™ program offers all residents premium services and amenities including fitness classes, art and cultural programs, chef-prepared cuisine, an onsite Wellness Consultant, complimentary transportation and more. As we age, our nutritional needs evolve, but a balanced diet is always key to staying healthy and feeling your best. Fill your plate with nutrient-dense foods—think colorful fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins. Don’t forget hydration! A born and bred North Vancouverite, Christopher Lee is thrilled to work as Chef de Cuisine at Cedar Spring PARC. Christopher's extensive experience in the culinary arts has positioned him perfectly for his role. His 30 years' experience has included stints at several upscale retirement residences, where he started as an entry-level cook and worked his way up. Christopher's love of working with food eventually drew him to PARC’s top-notch culinary experience, and he joined the Summerhill team in 2024, then moved to Cedar Springs as Chef de Cuisine. These days he focuses on creating a farm-to-table approach to sourcing local ingredients and mentoring the young upcoming chefs on his team. We're glad to have you here Christopher! #PeopleOfPARC #Management #Experience #Team #NorthVancouver #RetirementCommunity #SeniorLivingCommunities #SeniorLiving #IndependentLiving #Seniors #Passion #Expertise

If extending your lifespan is part of your goals this year, here are some great strategies on how to do so: ⭐ Pack your diet with fish, fresh or fermented vegetables, and limit heavily processed foods and sugar ⭐ Maintain a healthy body weight – even a few extra pounds can put you at risk of certain chronic diseases ⭐ Reduce sedentary behaviour, even if you exercise regularly. Try to move your body every day and spend less time sitting ⭐ Exercise regularly – it's great for cardiac health, but it's also beneficial for brain health and cognition too!
