One of the big moves towards that is building out the executive team. With that, we juggle our Amplifiers to get the right people in the right seat. Promotions, new opportunities, empowerment to fine-tune and create roles - it’s all happening! Step ☝️- Backfill a Growth Consultant role - So we can move one to lead in Experience Delivery. We need to hire a hungry sales person that will fit with the epic team and love solving people challenges with financial strategy of our clients. This person will represent all of Amplify Advisors but will focus on our Finance Leader services and Recruiting services. They’ll work with clients to help place a Fractional CFO, Fractional Controller or a full outsourced accounting and finance team that supports growth. Or, if a permanent CPA hire or temp contract is a better fit, they’ll assist there too. Hiring this person to represent our brand is no small assignment. David Skabar is on top of it and we’ll share an official posting and job description shortly (unless we find them first?). Once they are on-boarded, the Growth team will be devastated to lose one of their own but the Experience Delivery team and the clients will be thrilled to see the promotion and watch Amplify Advisors & AmplifyTech level up under the new leadership. (And I’ll be proud to watch my successor grow our Finance Leader and Recruiting in ways I’d never have managed! And Jesse Ferguson, CPA, CA will surely feel the same about Tech?) Where did all the demand for legal Finance Systems staff go? Out of curiosity (or procrastination 🤔) I had a look back at the range of vacancies I was managing at this point 10 years ago earlier. A couple of things jumped out. 1. I was working waaaay too many jobs at once back then 😯 2. Hiring for legal finance systems teams was off the scale 🚀 There's still demand for finance systems teams, but nowhere near what it used to be. Now it could be that people have gone elsewhere for their finance systems hires, but I'm not sure it's that. I've always had a good track record within that niche field and have enjoyed mingling with familiar faces at several Elite Vantage conferences over the years. I remember thinking, when TRE announced Elite Enterprise's end of life date, that hiring for finance systems teams would likely go off the scale as 3E and Aderant battle it out for market dominance, but that never really materialised. Was it the growth and use of third party consultancies? Was it efficiencies in new systems/technology? Or have I just lost market share whilst waffling away on LinkedIn? 🤷♂️
