STATEMENT OF CONDEMNATION! Violence for political gain or any other reason is unequivocally condemned by Voices of Muslims. Nonviolence is an important part of our faith and values, and we must practice and promote it everywhere in the world. Despite political differences, violence has no place in our society and should be absent from all forms of discourse. We must prioritize inclusiveness, diversity, and unity to build a stronger United States, the country we all love. We need a translation of Heritage Foundation's 922-page Project 2025 blueprint for a Trump dictatorship in a readable and viewable format. It's a detailed how-to plan about turning the U.S. into a fascist society. Few will read the entire document so we need a distillation of its bottom line goals (e.g., abolishing Social Security, 23% cut immediately; repeal of the Civil Rights Act; national ban on abortion; ban on teaching mention of slavery or Black American history). I remember we did something at NRDC in the 90s when we flipped the switch on House GOP's "Contract with America" to "Contract on America", and translated right-wing rhetoric into real world consequences. We can do the same now.

The majority of the Supreme Court members on July 1, 2024 abandoned the founding principles our Forefathers fought for during the Revolutionary War. Our country’s declaration of Independence states… ” We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…” During the Revolutionary War, our founding fathers fought for liberty and justice against the tyranny of a King. On July 1, 2024 The Supreme Court declared that all men are NOT created equal. The Supreme Court declared that the person holding the office of the President is above the law and cannot be held accountable for any CRIMES they commit while in office if they are “part of their official acts”. Resulting in… the Supreme Court abandoning the principle that no person is above the rule of law. The majority of the Supreme Court turned the President into a King, Autocrat, or possibly a Dictator with ultimate power to do what he or she wishes. This 4th of July, we must note the passing or an era. The rule of law and the principle that no person is above the law is no more. #July4 #Revolutionarywar #RuleofLaw #Equality #justice #crime

The First Amendment protects everyone's right to express themselves freely and join with others to make their views known. This diversity of voices and perspectives strengthens our nation. Yet most Americans can't name the five freedoms protected by the First Amendment. We believe that encouraging the broad understanding and vigorous use of these fundamental freedoms by all people is the best way to prevent the government from limiting these rights and to protect the First Amendment for future generations. #FirstAmendmentDay
