We recently hosted an inspiring People & Culture Breakfast with the wonderful teams from Sana and Deel, where leaders shared their insights on navigating cultural diversity and fostering an inclusive, innovative workplace.  Over croissants and coffee, Maxime Hoff from Deel shared strategies for global hiring and retaining talent, while Rita Azevedo and Petter Wihlbäck Mathisen (fmr. Nilsson Wihlbäck) from Sana discussed innovative employee engagement, continuous learning, and improving employee "delight”.    𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 & 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬:    🚀 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬:   Think of international expansion as a cultural treasure hunt! It involves educating employees about what to expect when they relocate or work in new countries, sharing insights on legal and compliance in a transparent and digestible way, and intentionally designing effective onboarding processes and support systems from the outset.    🌍 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞, 𝐘𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 – 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲:    Fully remote work can be challenging at first, but technology is your greatest ally to fostering cultural inclusivity. This also helps to promote cross-team collaboration, break down barriers between roles, and embed a vision of shared goals. A commitment to doing this work is the foundation for building dynamic, high performing teams. Team offsites and company rituals are critical to deepening connections beyond the workplace, creating a cohesive and supportive environment. 🤝     💡 𝐎𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐎𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬:  Ensure new team members align their personal goals with company objectives. Educate them on revenue strategies and their direct impact, helps them see the bigger picture and find purpose in their work. Coupled with this, is the need to incorporate feedback from diverse perspectives to enrich the collective learning experience.     📈 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫-𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡:  Thinking of your team as “end-users” is the key to driving engagement and delivering “employee delight” which, is a keyway to retain great talent. To reap these rewards, leaders should find ways to use AI to demonstrate how they prioritize and encourage ongoing learning and development. Tracking engagement rates, pulse surveys, and productivity metrics in a repeatable way ensures that companies can gather qualitative feedback that can be used to deliver a holistic (and delightful work) experience for both end-users and administrators.     Special thanks to Aurelia Magron from Shippeo, Sonia GAHA, Shana ROY 🇨🇦 🇫🇷 and Alex Guégo for their stellar participation in the event! Their insights truly lit up the room and made the discussions both enriching and fun. Thanks for helping us turn this breakfast into a feast of ideas! 🚀🌟
