It not only affects soil productivity, but its impact on the ecosystem can be far-reaching. Fortunately, there is a true eco-friendly method to control soil erosion – using coir fibres. Coir fibres present a sustainable and eco-friendly solution to soil erosion problems while also saving costs.   Coir fibres are natural fibres harvested from coconut husks. Erosion control using coir fibres is achieved through the use of coir blankets and matting, laid on soil surfaces to prevent erosion. The fibres are biodegradable and sustainable, and offer a solution that's friendlier to the environment when used for soil erosion control.
