(Keep in mind these are very exaggerated numbers). Now, what is the rate of inflation? Only a little lesser than your hike. So, in reality you got almost no hike. What do you do about it? BUILD A PERSONAL BRAND. No matter what you think about your well paying job, the truth is layoffs is a reality. For more reasons than one, you need to put yourself out there, not depending on a company, to pay your bills.
