January was an intense month, full of satisfaction. Today, we want to share with you the key insights from our recent trip to California, which we previously discussed in our post about exploring gasification processes and actively participating in the prestigious EESAT Conference.
We believe that understanding the world is an ongoing process of interpretation and exploration on multiple levels. Therefore, we want to share with you the responses provided by Rafal Fraczek and Adam Jachowicz when asked about their greatest inspirations and insights from their return from the States.
What is one thing that sticks in your mind after returning from California?
Adam Jachowicz: "During my trip, I experienced a positive surprise as I observed a well-functioning symbiosis between business and science in the United States. I noticed numerous research institutes and laboratories that not only delve into micro-processes but also investigate globally relevant issues, translating them into business practice afterward. In the American approach, I see a tremendous opportunity for development and collaboration between companies and academic institutions that are open to dialogue with businesses.
This contrasts with the situation in Poland, where universities are often seen as separate entities and are pitted against companies – there is a divide between theoretical universities and practical companies. In America, however, there are government-funded research institutes (although there are also those with 100% private capital) with significant potential for collaboration in the job market. This well-working integration of science with business inspired me.”
Rafal Fraczek: "The conference itself was very substantive, with a significant scientific and technical contribution, making it even more attractive than it initially seemed. The phenomenon of the energy revolution encapsulated in concepts such as decarbonization, energy islands, and energy storage was comprehensively addressed from the beginning, i.e., from evaluating the technological implementation strategy to the end, discussing realized case studies while also considering security assurance elements.
I’m pleased with the diversity and the number of available technologies that we can tailor to suit project scale or the role a specific technical solution is supposed to play. I believe we can provide comprehensive technology for practically any case in Poland and Europe.
We intend to continue deepening our knowledge and contacts, both with the scientific community and businesses. All that remains is to invite you to connect and count on cooperation to leverage the available knowledge."
