I’m pleased and proud to share I’ll be your Greens’ candidate for the upcoming Epping By-Election on the 19th of October 2024. You can follow my campaign here: https://lnkd.in/ghtmRrrY. I am stepping up to bat for Epping because we need a strong advocate for our future. The cost-of-living crisis won’t be addressed with more of the same. We need to learn and expand from the practical measures explored through the pandemic to support our communities and make life easier. This means: - Building more homes that are designated as affordable housing and freezing rent increases, - Significantly increasing the resources for public education, and - Ensuring adequate access to bulk-billing GPs. While most of us enter the final sprint for the Local Government elections in NSW, for the people of Epping and Hornsby we will head straight into State Government by-elections. This will be a tough ask, but it’s necessary if we are going to hold the government to account with a strong crossbench and change the direction of NSW for the better.

Update - Board election💥 It’s not always all rosy but there’s no point in failures being taboo. I ran for the board of Ørsted and I did not get elected. In the line up of 84 candidates I landed 125 votes (big thanks to all those wonderful colleagues for putting their trust in me🙏🏻!). This put me around number 40 on the list of candidates after votes were counted. With only 4 board positions available. Some reflections on the process: 1️⃣ I was well prepared, my campaign materials and strategy was all laid out before the election period began🤓 2️⃣ Concluded that the keys to getting the most votes are cultivating and maintaining your internal network and volunteering for pro bono efforts over the long term. It’s a marathon, not a sprint 🏃🏼 3️⃣ I have been spurred on to get more involved in internal communities and already now building network as a result of my campaign and increased engagement across the company 🪢 All in all I learned a lot from this, and also overcame the fear of sharing both my personal views on various subjects and my motivations for joining the board with all 8,000+ colleagues on our internal channels. Now on to enjoy my weekend, recharge, and come back to deliver on my product portfolio⛴️🚁🛰️

Has Trump hit his ceiling? Haley and polling in South Carolina suggest it might be so – PART 2 of 2 A poll from CNN/University of New Hampshire which was released before Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced he would be dropping out of the 2024 Republican presidential primary found that 62% of likely GOP New Hampshire voters who selected DeSantis as their first-choice candidate chose Trump as their second-choice candidate, while 30% chose Haley as their alternate candidate.[3] The greater than 2-to-1 advantage Trump showed over Haley in second choice preferences in New Hampshire does not appear to be holding up in South Carolina, where the split is roughly 4 to 3. Looking back further to the Morning Consult poll of 856 Likely Voters in South Carolina taken over November 1-30, 2023, a time when Ramaswamy, Scott, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum were still in the race, Trump led Haley by 57% to 19% with the remainder of the field holding 24% of voter preferences. Although Scott, Burgum, Ramaswamy and DeSantis have since dropped out of the race and each endorsed Trump’s reelection bid, Trump's numbers have hardly moved above Morning Consult’s November polling result, while Haley has increased her support in South Carolina significantly. Comparing any two pairs of polls can be deceptive; polling averages are considered more reliable. After Trump’s victory in New Hampshire, the FiveThirtyEight South Carolina polling average had Trump up 62.2% to Haley’s 25.0%. After Tyson’s poll dropped, these numbers shifted to Trump at 62.5% against Haley at 29.2%, a sharp rise for the 2nd place challenger. Haley has said she does not necessarily need to win her home state of South Carolina to keep going. "I need to show that I'm building momentum. I need to show that I'm stronger in South Carolina than New Hampshire," Haley told NBC’s Meeting the Press on Sunday, Jan. 28. If the Tyson poll is anything to go by, Haley needs to increase her support in South Carolina by at least 13% points by Feb. 24 to meet her own expectations. That she has publicly set the bar at achieving this suggests she is confident she will close the gap by that much in under four weeks’ time. In the Republican race, Trump appears to have peaked, while Haley, although a heavy underdog, continues to nip at his heels. _____________________________ [3] Lauren Sforza (Jan. 21, 2024). DeSantis supporters more likely to back Trump as second choice in New Hampshire: Poll. https://lnkd.in/e2nnsnHY Former U.S. President Donald Trump, New Hampshire, Jan. 23, 2024

Creative Director at Curve Games | Creative Impact Winner 2022 MCV DEVELOP Women in Games | Women in Games & SpecialEffect Ambassador
I’m really humbled to have been nominated to stand for the UKIE board this year. If you’re the person in your organisation that has the vote I’d really appreciate a vote for me. As a self-taught designer, my journey has been fuelled by an unrelenting passion for excellence. I am deeply committed to nurturing talent, no matter of age, background, or experience. My ambition isn’t just about personal success, it's about lifting others. I’m eager to share what I've learned with those who are hungry to grow, while navigating this challenging industry. I have a natural ability to spot potential in others, helping them find their voice, and connecting them with opportunities. I've battled my own demons and have come out stronger. Now, I use those experiences to offer genuine support and encouragement to others facing similar struggles. I know what it feels like to start at the bottom, to step into a new industry and fight just to stay afloat. I've faced the grind, pushing through daily obstacles. I know what it means to be a woman in a world that often underestimates us, to be a person of colour navigating spaces that weren't always built with us in mind. I've learned to trust my gut, even when others told me I was wrong. I've felt the frustration of being held back when all I wanted was to speak up and prove my worth. Every challenge, every doubt thrown my way, has only fuelled my determination to rise above and show what I'm capable of. It would be an amazing opportunity to serve on the UKIE board. My focus will be to drive meaningful improvements in recruitment, skill development, and education, while also reshaping how our industry is viewed. I want to create opportunities for more people to join us and benefit from the same rewarding experiences we enjoy every day. By pushing for these changes, we can open doors for others and ensure the industry thrives. Amazing to be nominated with this incredible group of nominees: Reedah El-Saie Li MA Melissa Phillips Samantha Ebelthite María Sayans Anna Kozlova🇺🇦 🎮 Mark Backler Caolan McKendry Michael Heywood Peter King Simon Barratt Simon Byron Simon Sparks Tim Scott Vadim Andreev #UKIE #BoardNomination #creativity #inspiration
