If their voices are silenced and their lives threatened, then the entire progressive movement is hamstrung". ALP are not about the people, the planet or non violence. LNP has an horrendous track record in human rights abuse and environmental pillage. Every vote you make matters. Local governments, state governments, federally. When you cast a vote for parties who choose to harm you are complicit in the harm. We need Australian Progressives The Australian Greens Teals and other Independents with integrity. The only pathway to change is through a real democracy. We need to reimagine every system guided by First Nations wisdom. Together we can transform this country and the world to a place where peace and nonviolence is the norm. https://lnkd.in/ggqKYC8j

One of the most tragic developments in the modern world is the collusion between politics, media, and business. This alliance allows these entities to define terms and shape narratives to serve their own interests, with devastating consequences for millions globally. The worst offenders are nations that place themselves above the law, create the law, and then change definitions when they themselves are guilty. The definitions of critical concepts have been manipulated so extensively that their true meanings are now ambiguous and fluid, depending on what benefits those in power at any given time. Consider these terms that are frequently used but have become increasingly unclear: - Terrorism - Genocide - Ethnic Cleansing - Human Slavery - Torture - Poverty - Oppression - Rogue Nation - Danger to the World - Rules-Based Order - Our Way of Living - Danger to Democracy - Pollution Control - Climate control - Human Rights - Protecting Children - Women’s Rights - Immigration - Clean Water - Clean Air - Food Safety - Safe for Humans - Animal rights - Peace These terms are often redefined from a nation's perspective, tailored to fit their agenda. Imagine if ordinary citizens could manipulate the laws of the land in this way, chaos would ensue!

196 defenders were killed in 2023 for standing up for our planet. Their voices, however, will not be silenced. I’m sharing here the latest Global Witness Annual Defenders Report. This vital report highlights the brutal reality faced by land and environmental defenders worldwide—people fighting extraordinary battles to protect their communities, land, and the environment. For the second year in a row, Colombia leads the world in the number of murders, and Latin America continues to be a hotspot for these deadly attacks. Over 2,000 defenders have been killed since 2012, many of them Indigenous Peoples and Afro descendants. In The Invisible Thread = TINTA = we advocate for the rights of environmental defenders and we work to bring visibility to their struggles. TINTA’s mission aligns with the report’s call for action: governments and corporations must do more to safeguard these brave leaders and ensure accountability for the violence they face. Their courage reminds us of the need for collective action. I urge you to read this powerful report and join the movement to #DefendTheDefenders 👉 Access the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ekc6UHmh Together, we can raise our voices for those whose voices are being violently silenced. #EnvironmentalJustice #HumanRights #GlobalWitness #Climateaction

Criminalization of states As outlaws are criminalized for their wrongdoings, States, Nations, and Countries should bear the burden of acts against Humanity, Animals, the Environment, Artifacts, Natural assets, etc., and labeled/categorized by the UN as CRIMINAL STATES. Such a step would be a stigma for the perpetrators of illegal doings /acts. It would be a deterrent for perpetuating acts viz—unmitigated bombings of nations without air defenses, rocketing, biological and chemical agents to kill masses. In addition, nations giving shelter to evil figures should be included in the aforesaid segment. Namely the 'Criminal State Category.' All connections with such nations should be severed by way of legal instruments. A yellow page catalog should be published announcing the Criminal Nations.
