Our team ventured to Chicago for NeoCon, the nation's leading conference for the commercial design industry! The conference always provides a great opportunity to learn about the latest innovations, offering plenty of inspiration. This year's conference focused heavily on how design can leverage senses and psychology to foster stronger connections to place. We're thrilled to leverage these new insights as we continue to provide our clients with design solutions that elevate experiences. Which trend would you incorporate into your space? Let us know in the comments! #PDR #WeArePDR #NeoCon2024 #Wellness #Sustainability #Workplace

#inclusivedesign means creating spaces that meet the needs of the broad spectrum of humanity. I design buildings with a people-first mindset, so this is really important to me. Check out my contribution to HOK Forward where I discuss inclusive design principles for the Science + Technology market. Shout out to my colleagues and co-contributors Ami Shah and Kai Olsen. #designmatters #scienceandtechnology #architecture #peoplefirst

Increasing the presence of nature in the workplace aligns seamlessly with the sustainability objectives of numerous organizations and -at the same time- holds immense potential for positively impacting various facets of the work environment. The insights gleaned from this research consistently support this notion. Emotions, cognitive processes and physical health all stand to benefit significantly from the integration of nature into workspace design. These empirical outcomes underscore that incorporating micro-nature experiences into indoor spaces such as natural light, natural materials and greenery, can have a meaningful and positive impact on the employee experience. 📄 Cover article here https://lnkd.in/eX5WuTkv 🔍 More research & information here https://lnkd.in/etB4ubEy #workplacestrategy #neuroarchitecture #biophilicdesign
