Is it fair to pay your financial advisor more just because you have more money? "Most" of the time more money ≠ more complexity. If you 10x your wealth overnight, does your advisor deserve 10x the pay for the same work? Percentage fees - known as Assets Under Management (AUM) fees - incentivize asset gathering by an advisor, not expertise and service. Are you paying fair fees for advisor expertise or subsidizing other clients?
