❌ Being a parent means teaching your children ✅ The best kind of on-the-job training there is. Parenting isn't just about imparting knowledge. It's also about learning from their unique perspectives. The innocence and unwavering spirit of our children can be a reliable guide. Here's how my kids, each in a totally different age group, are shaping me: My teenage boy taught me: Smart work: He is successfully handling stress and pursuing his dreams. He inspires me to apply the same thing as a leader. Prioritization: Kids his age have to juggle a ton of responsibilities. But he manages it all more effectively without losing his cool. Empathy: He shows genuine empathy to people around him, even strangers. One day, their school took them out for an inspiring movie. My son saw differently-abled students sitting all alone in their seats. He left his group to join them to make them feel included. This became a reminder for me to be more empathetic and inclusive. My youngest taught me: Having unwavering passion: My youngest kid is simply dedicated to music, specifically the Tabla that he’s learning. Perhaps he doesn’t know how inspiring I find his passion for music, rhythms, and techniques. This passion, minus the obsession, is what I strive to incorporate into everything I do. Most importantly, they remind me to be a learner at every stage of life. What lessons have your children taught you? #mindset #growth

🌈Just because things are good doesn’t mean they can’t be great. Often I hear from parents that everything's alright with their teen… We are just fine… 🌟We message back and forth a few times and they join my group… Then they ghost when I start to ask them follow-up questions. They sometimes will answer the questions and then when I ask them if they're interested in having a quick chat… They ghost again.
