Celebrating a mediated settlement ✨ I usually celabrate by going to Hesburger, but now after 2,5 days of brainstorming and haggling, a summer lunch with the co-mediator seemed proper. This mediation made me wonder: 🟦 Trust is a ”strange animal”. When you have it, everything is possible. When you don’t, nothing really is. 🟦 Trust is build in the smallest of moments, when you choose to trust despite all uncertainties. This makes you feel uncomfortable, as you are vulnerable. 🟦 Mediator’s job is to plant a seed of trust and nuture it, until parties reach a deal. Having international mediations in Helsinki is a true pleasure, as parties get to enjoy this beautiful city. Why would you go to a court room, when you can decide the outcome of your case in mediation (and add elements not even possible to get from court) and do this in a beautiful setting?
