"Anyone who knows me understands my passion for the mineral industry. I recognize all of the AMAZING. The amazing magnitude that it takes to discover, build and operate a mine. The technology that operates gigantic haul trucks that runs autonomously. The infrastructure that mines build for local communities such as community centres, clinics, schools and housing in areas that would be impossible without the support of the industry. Most of all, the amazing people that dedicate their career to making this all happen as safely as possible.” - Victor Chew, Managing Director - PENDA Productions

When it comes to safety glasses, comfort is king. After all, what good are safety glasses that aren't comfortable enough to wear when you need them most? The Dawson is our answer to the age-old problem of uncomfortable and featureless safety glasses. The Dawson's wraparound design, wide temples and flexible, yet durable, nylon construction mean ample peripheral protection and big comfort. And its available anti-fog technology (called Vapor Shield) means you get safety glasses that resist fogging in even the most extreme environments. With lenses that block 99.9% of UVA, UVB and UVC rays, you’ll never be left without protection from the sun, no matter which lenses you choose. If you’re on the search for safety glasses or polarized sunglasses, look no further than the Edge Dawson.
Dawson Yellow Lens. It says it all! Great for night work, mine sites, contrast when working on a project and those early morning runs.

🌟 # 003 - MAURI-VATIONAL MONDAY: Unearthing Lessons from the Chilean Mine Rescue 🌟 Recently, I revisited the extraordinary story of the 2010 Chilean mine rescue. 🇨🇱 This story is full of ups and downs and is sure to tug on your heartstrings. It is a true testament to human resilience and ingenuity under the most extreme conditions. Here are some powerful lessons we can all learn from this incredible event: 1. Innovation Through Diverse Solutions 🛠️: The rescue operation utilized three different drilling plans (Plan A, B, and C), each with its own approach to reaching the miners. This highlights the importance of flexibility and the willingness to pivot strategies when initial plans falter. In business and life, being open to exploring multiple solutions can lead to unexpected success. 2. Unity is Strength 🤝: The 33 miners trapped under 700 meters of rock showcased remarkable unity. Their survival and eventual rescue underscore the vital role of teamwork and collective spirit in overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges. As leaders and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration can be our greatest asset. In other words, protect unity at all costs! 3. Faith in Dark Times 🕯️: In the darkest moments, the miners' faith in each other, their rescuers, and in God kept hope alive. When the odds are stacked against you, leaning into faith can move mountains while leaning into doubt can create them. BONUS: Engineers Can Be Heroes Too 😄: And yes, sometimes the answer does lie in engineering! The rescue involved a series of complex engineering feats, from drilling narrow escape shafts to designing the "Phoenix" capsule that eventually brought the miners safely to the surface. It's a reminder that the right technical skills can indeed save the day. This story inspires me every time I revisit it. It is a real-life event that challenges us to think about how we lead and support others both in moments of crisis and in our everyday lives. It is also a reminder that nothing can stop a team that is united, open to solutions, and full of faith when facing complex problems and uncertainty. #Leadership #Teamwork #Resilience #Innovation #Engineering #TheyAllSurvived

🚨 Exciting Update! 🚨 We are thrilled to announce that Deliverable 3.2 is now officially published! 🎉 Deliverable 3.2 presents a comprehensive report on the existing legal frameworks, policies, standards, resources, and strategies for managing geoheritage sites in Greece, Poland, Germany, France, and Slovenia. It also includes examples of coal heritage sites and their conservation status from the countries involved, serving as a reference for developing an effective management system 🏞️🛠️. In the second part of the report, an assessment process of standards and mechanisms for managing coal heritage assets is presented, using CAWI In-Depth Interviews 🗣️ and Focus Group Interviews (FGI) 🤝.
