🌏 Our Impact Report has landed! We've also taken the decision to rename our Sustainability Committee the Impact Committee. Danielle Sheppard, Senior Investment Director at Barwood, said: “All aspects of ESG have remained central to everything we do on the Sustainability Committee with the focus on the impact we can have on society, all our stakeholders and the environment. Sustainability matters - in all aspects of life, work, and business. Since 2010 Nationwide has consistently reduced its footprint year over year all while continuing to improve of operational efficiency.

#CSR #ESG #YEAREND #Sustainability #Sustainablereporting Year end reporting takes a monumental amount of time to gather, sort, verify and document. To get to the actual report, requires setting up internal systems, reviewing these internal systems monthly and then finalizing the annual data. This finalization process involves making sure that the data is accurate and auditable. The accuracy and audibility needs to be able to be traced to an original document or invoice. The needed data includes utility bills for every meter within the portfolio, waste haul tickets for every pound of waste and diversion, accurate records from HR teams for any volunteer or philanthropy efforts, mileage from every vehicle and piece of equipment, detailed records for any mechanical equipment repairs or installs that have a refrigeration component and of course pictures from the properties success through the year. All of this data is first laid out in an organized fashion, again verified with back up, wordsmithed and then when final, turned over to the legal department for review before being sent to the Board. From January 1st the countdown starts and it is a race to ensure an accurate and detailed report is out in April. Once an organization makes their report public, the ratings agencies then do their work to provide a "report card". I am proud of the work that Boyd Gaming is doing in all of the communities in which they operate. In addition to the great energy efficiency work and waste reduction efforts to reduce emissions in these areas, Boyd makes a lasting impact by donating materials, time and money to those in need. From linens being reused in pet shelters, to trash clean ups along highways and roadways, to tons of food being salvaged and donated, to the trees and gardens planted, or the many other items donated to blind centers and other worthy centers, Boyd does so much more than can fit into an annual report, but this report comes close. This work does not stop. As this report is released, we are already evaluating first quarter comparisons across the portfolio.
