Electrolysis and leak testing Electrolysis in combination with renewable energy is an essential component in the production of green hydrogen. There are different technologies such as PEM, AEM or SOEC. We will have to build up very large electrolysis capacities in the coming years in order to decarbonize corresponding processes, technologies and, in part, mobility. It is therefore important to scale up and automate production and manufacturing, not only from a capacity perspective but also from a cost perspective. Leak testing of the relevant components and parts is an important part of quality assurance.  MACEAS offers the right leak test for the various technologies. Ammonia to Green Hydrogen Project Feasibility Study This report presents a feasibility study for the conversion of ammonia (NH3) to green hydrogen (H2) using a sustainable process. The report analyzes the technical economic and environmental aspects of the project, evaluating its potential for success. Ammonia cracking technologies: This section will discuss various methods for decomposing ammonia into hydrogen and nitrogen, such as steam reforming, catalytic cracking, and plasma pyrolysis. Green hydrogen production methods: This section will analyze methods for generating green electricity to power the ammonia cracking process, such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy. The necessary infrastructure for ammonia transportation, storage, and hydrogen production, distribution, and storage. Although renewable sources like wind and solar generation are intermittent in nature, this intermittency can largely be overcome by storing surplus energy at times when it is abundant and drawing on this stored energy when required. While lithium-ion batteries are useful for short term storage (several minutes to hours), to bridge-the-gap over longer periods of non-generation, Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) technology uses excess renewable electricity to compress and store atmospheric air in purpose-built salt caverns in the deep subsurface. During this process, wind and solar energy is converted to firm capacity by charging the cavern while the sun is shining or the wind is blowing and allowing the compressed air to be controllably released later into an electricity-generating turbine. CAES is a cost-effective method of converting intermittent renewable generation to firm capacity that is safe, well understood and produces no toxic waste.
