There have been discussions about the AI bubble bursting after the Goldman Sachs report. Plenty of nuances, I think, because some AI solutions – I would almost argue the majority – are "demo candy" (thanks, Christina McAllister, for introducing this term to me!), while some (few) apply the strength of AI intelligently to solve problems in the industry. When many are busy adding the "AI" label on their solution for whatever reason, ASAPP has been quietly (maybe too quietly 😅) working on using generative AI to tackle challenges within contact centers. The reason? Many customers just want their issues resolved, and generative AI can really help with that. In fact, we are going bold now to tackle a major issue in contact centers – agent turnover. We think GenerativeAgent is ready to play a role there, and this awesome eBook (with illustrations!) by my colleague Zach Franzen will tell you all about it. So, is the AI bubble going to burst? I think the runway is getting shorter and shorter for those that simply add "AI" to their products as a marketing buzzword. But there will be plenty of space for solutions – AI or not – that are made to thoughtfully address a real problem, effectively.
