Transforming commercial & residential spaces with design, installation, & maintenance of pool + pump solutions || Audio Video Consultant || Host of “Unheard with Saloni” || Founder @MAW Music
I am not a civil engineer yet I am a part of the construction world at VIE TEC Private Limited While I’m not out there with a hard hat, my focus is on improving our systems and processes. Many people misunderstand what higher managerial positions actually entail. Some think that managers just sit back while employees do all the work, and that’s partly true and partly false. Yes, some in higher positions might not take their roles seriously, but that doesn’t mean all do. Here’s how a person like me contributes to a company: 1. System Optimization: I ensure our processes are efficient and effective. This helps our projects run smoothly and meet deadlines. 2. Problem Solving: I tackle complex issues that arise, making sure we find solutions quickly and keep everything on track. 3. Strategic Planning: I work on long-term plans and strategies that guide our company’s growth and success. 4. Team Support: I support and guide our teams, making sure they have the resources and direction needed to perform their best. So, while I might not be on the construction site, my role is crucial in making sure everything behind the scenes runs flawlessly. It’s about creating the right environment for our teams to succeed and ensuring our projects are delivered as planned. #Construction #Leadership #Management #CompanySuccess #DirectorRole

🌟 Project Managers! 🌟 I successfully managed multi-million naira construction projects and as a female in field, I was faced with some intriguing challenges and i have learned valuable lessons along the way. Here are a few situations I've encountered: Creative Problem-Solving: I proposed adding a basement to optimize space instead of a traditional cut and fill for a proposed residential building to be situated on a steep topography. Communicated with the client, architect and structural engineer, we turned this idea into reality, creating value.Meeting Deadlines: Once, a key worker on site wasn’t reachable, and I had to find an alternative solution quickly getting another worker to carryout the task. I ended up covering the costs from my pocket to ensure we met the deadline.Handling Supply Delays: When faced with delays from a supplier, I reached out to multiple alternative suppliers to keep the project on track. I’m curious—what challenges have you faced in your sector as a project manager, and how did you handle them? Let’s share and learn from each other! #ProjectManagement#Construction#Leadership#ProblemSolving#WomenInConstruction #projectmanager #digitalprojectmanager

You may be misreading consultant proposals... 🤔 ...but you're just 30 seconds away from better results ⬇️ The process of responding to an RFP (formal or informal, but especially informal) should be a bit of a dance 💃 As a client, you may not even know exactly what you're looking for. You just know you have a problem, and you want it fixed. Service providers probably don't fully understand what you're going through. We try, but you have a lot more information than we do. Our proposals are often just a first effort... throwing something out there. It's usually not the only/final offer.
