APCA President Roy Weaver, WEAVER LLC, talks about the big role that association members play in helping America reach its energy needs: "We know that the supply in this country is not a problem. We have an abundant supply of natural gas. We just need to be able to get it where it needs to go. We need to be able to get it to our homes, our factories and our communities." Interested in the future of heating and cooling? My colleagues at Ramboll and I recently completed a study for Scottish Enterprise on the real capital costs (excluding operational and connection fees) of 4th and 5th generation heating and cooling networks. Our report dives deep into the value chain, examining the costs associated with designing, building, and delivering these innovative heating solutions. We also explore potential cost and supplier trends, and analyze the current landscape of equipment manufacturing, with a special focus on Scotland. Check out the report here: https://lnkd.in/dyBsaHyc #heatnetworks #sustainableheating #Scotland #Ramboll #supplychain

For your Friday afternoon reading pleasure, Acadia Center is out with a joint OpEd in the Connecticut Mirror touting the benefits of #performancebasedregulation (#PBR) for electric utilities in Connecticut. We've been throwing our weight around in several PBR reopener proceedings these last few years, and Oliver Tully has continued to make a compelling case for Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) to push PBR forward. Doing so will provide Connecticut with an important new tool to help rein in costs and deliver clean energy outcomes we need for climate, resilience, and affordability imperatives. https://lnkd.in/diAJvJVt
Opinion: Performance-based regulation key for CT’s energy future

Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Technical coordinator at CBRE Excellerate | Registered EPC Professional | QCTO EPC Practitioner | CEA | FSO | EnMS | UJ Sustainability studies (SDG) | Electrical Wiremans license.
2023 was a great and productive year as we still forge our way on Energy Performance Certificates for buildings. EPCs have emerged as tool that provides information about the energy efficiency of a building. This helps property owners, tenants and even potential buyers to understand how energy-efficient a building is and encourages awareness about environmental impact of energy consumption. In conclusion EPCs play a crucial role in promoting energy efficiency and sustainability. As we slowly approach the deadline (7th December 2025) and with months left for building owners and accounting officers to register buildings on the SANEDI NBEPR, we hope to see more awareness in 2024 from building owners and accounting officers. EPC and regulation awareness can promote energy efficiency for all and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact associated with energy consumption. Wishing you all a productive EPC year.😉 #CBREEXCELLERATE #energyefficiency
