Founded in 2018 by Zosia Zochniak and Tomasz Bocian, UDO is more than just a clothing collection platform; it's a movement that connects used clothing donations with vital financial support for charities. Together with UDO, we've made significant strides in our commitment to driving positive change. 👕 During the campaign, our collaboration resulted in impressive results: CO2 saved: 9,320 kg, equivalent to reducing emissions from 4 passenger cars driven for one year Water saved: Over 4,508,774 liters, equivalent to supplying approximately 2,005 households with water for a year Clothing donations: A total of 722 kg collected, making a meaningful impact on countless lives Children's scholarships: UDO partnership funds support The Saint Nicholas Foundation, funding children's scholarships from campaign donations. 🙌 These achievements are a testament to the power of collective action – from our Polish office. Its been about 10 days since I attempted the 100 mile race…part 2…and I’ve been contemplating the right words to express. Every time there is a lesson, I just need to be truthful to my own thoughts to realize this. I can tell you it is a lot harder to write this email on back of not finishing the race. “Going half way is still good” I keep hearing – I sometimes say its very good…its like meeting half of last year’s budget (bit finance joke). It is not the fact that I was about 20 min late to 50 mile aid station that irritated me. It is not the fact that I did not give myself best chance of success by failing to wear contact lenses instead of glasses, not having waterproof clothing as I went through 45 miles over ankle mud or just poor navigation and getting lost for extra 6 miles. What irritated me is that I just had hard time accepting reality – I’m annoyed that not finishing annoyed me and it is even difficult to admit this. Spent a lot of time thinking about why I felt this way to try and give back some value for support I’ve received. As father of 3, watching them grow, each one of them was filled with enthusiasm for progress. How often did I see them fall while they learned to walk. Did they pout and be hard on themselves? Kids fail all the time and it does not impact them at all. They just get back up and try and try…and try again…without giving an inch to self doubt. At what point do we lose this mentality? Each time I do these types of events it is one person enter and another come out. It is reiteration for me of long-life lesson that failure is just delayed success, it is part of progress. Don’t forget how to fail and let the road to improvement be paved with failures – no matter what we are doing. I’m hoping that I have the strength to keep this mentality in all aspects of life and that you draw some positives for you. Thank you everyone for support and we’ve made great contribution to Juventu’d youth soccer with over 1200$ in donations. Christmas has passed and it’s time to look back on our yearly MeeMaken Christmas fundraiser!🎄 Every year during Christmas, colleagues from the MeeMaken portfolio Companies in The Netherlands donate money to The Hunger Project NL. With this donation, we support the community-led restoration of the Gewocha Forest in Ethiopia.   Colleagues can donate in two ways. They can choose to not receive their yearly Christmas present and instead, donate the complete value. Additionally, colleagues can also donate a self-selected amount of money through a ‘Tikkie’. At the end of the fundraiser, the MeeMaken holding has announced to double the raised amount of money. This year, we have raised the total amount of €5.010! We place great value on contributing to a world free of hunger. This is why supporting SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, together with 5 other SDG’s, forms the basis for our sustainable strategy. We believe in transparency. The Fund INCORA for Ukraine was created a little after the invasion. Since then, we’ve been constantly sharing everything we do: updates, charity initiatives, volunteering events, all the details of various fundraising activities, and more. As a charity organization, we’re starting to take part in more and more activities. Thus, we need some kind of a ‘portfolio’ - a brief. Since it’s a ‘brief’, it should include the main information only. For a charity organization, it should be⬇️ 🔹who we are 🔹what do we do 🔹our goal 🔹our initiatives It's all clear, right down to the last point: initiatives. It's impossible to list all the initiatives we've taken, but how can we choose just a few: they're all important. We believe that every initiative we’ve done, no matter how big or small, makes us closer to our goal: victory. However, it was inevitable that we would have to choose which initiatives to include in our brief.
