Shifting our perspective is often the first step towards our personal growth.

I've started to visualize growth in my life and in my business like the hard part of a workout. I definitely dread when I know that part is coming up, and while I'm going through it, I'm sweating, I'm breathing hard, I'm struggling...but the way I feel when I make it to the other side and complete the workout, I know it was all worth the "hard part". This post made me think about that aspect of growth...the struggle. Sometimes there is a struggle because things aren't going as fast or as interestingly as you want and sometimes there is struggle because things are going faster or harder than you would like and it's tough to keep up...but the actual growth happens when you push through it--finding a way to make the "boring parts" interesting, or getting stronger to make the exhausting parts seem like a walk in the park. I think the main thing to come to grips with, in terms of entrepreneurship, is that there is no top of the mountain. There is always another peak to climb, another goal to reach for, and you can rest at the plateaus...but don't stop.

Staying motivated on a slow path to your goals involves breaking down goals into smaller tasks, celebrating small wins, setting realistic expectations, and maintaining a positive focus on progress. Seek support from encouraging people, visualize success, and stick to a consistent routine. Reflect on your motivations, stay flexible with your plans, and practice self-care. Use slow periods to learn and adapt, and create a sense of urgency with a deadline. These strategies help sustain motivation and momentum. #stayingmotivated #smallwins

How much does tv influence your everyday life? I got an insight to that today in my TV times module where we learnt about different audience theories, and some of the audience theories were ‘Cultivation theory’ and ‘Uses and Gratification theory’🤓 Cultivation theory suggests that repeated exposure to TV over time can change a viewers perspective of the real world. For example, if you watch a lot of true crime your perception of the world might be that the world is dangerous, and that there is a threat at every corner, or if you watch a lot of series where the world is peaceful and kind, that might be how you see the world. We can also bring in how people use Hogwarts houses to identify people in the real world. For example, if a person behaves a certain way you might think "That’s very Gryffindor of that person". Harry Potter is not real, but we bring aspects of the TV world into the real world. Uses and Gratification theory states that people find things to watch which fulfills our need for gratification. The theory suggests that we choose what to watch based of these 5 reasons: 1. Education and Information 2. Entertainment 3. Personal identity 4. Integration and social interaction 5.
