Maximizing AI Without Sacrificing Capability Building
Something which Kirk Sigmon said during the recent Global Legal Association summit made me explore the AI's impact of capability building for our future leaders.
If AI can draft a legal contract based on minimal prompts, where is it drawing the rest of the content from? The answer, of course, is from the past data—contracts and legal documents—that it’s been trained on. But, are those sources reliable? Are they updated? Are they high quality? If not, the result will be subpar. garbage in, garbage out.
So in the long run are we risking quality? Traditionally, junior associates crafted the first draft and learned through feedback from seniors- an invaluable learning curve that improved both their skills and the final output.
With AI taking over, are we depriving them of valuable growth opportunities?
And creating more industry assets which are simply 'average of averages'?
AI should enhance human expertise, not dumb us down. Worth exploring how it can be used to elevate and not average out work. #AI #CapabilityBuilding #Learning
