𝐈𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 A𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐛?🤔 🤔🤔 In my opinion, it is not, though many might disagree. Don't get me wrong—I 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒅𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒏𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 20 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔. Recruitment is an integral part of HR, yet many people believe that all HR do is select candidates and get them hired. Unfortunately, once hired, candidates often forget the support and guidance they received. There's a Malay saying, "kacang lupakan kulit," which translates to "ungrateful, like a boiled bean." However, it's important to note that not everyone is like that. To this day, many grateful individuals appreciate the help provided when they were at rock bottom. 🚀🤘 While recruitment may sound simple, the reality is far more complex. Recruitment is the 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒆𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕, and it is essential for building a strong, capable workforce. 👏👏 Given the complexities and emotional demands of the job, I was excited to learn about the Recruiters Association Malaysia. I thought, why not join?🤔 I became a member last year and now serve as a board member. We recently held our first board meeting, and it was inspiring to see 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒂 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒑 𝒐𝒇 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒔 from diverse backgrounds and industries come together with a shared commitment. We are dedicated to contributing as much as we can to the recruitment field. We aim to support each other, 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒂. It’s a wonderful opportunity to network, learn, and grow within a community of like-minded professionals. We are 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚, driving it forward with innovative ideas and collaborative efforts. Our goal is to 𝒆𝒏𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒉 𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔. Here’s to a new chapter in recruitment, filled with opportunities to make a significant difference and shape the future of talent acquisition. 💪 #ilovehr #RAM #hrdepartment #PersonalGrowth #hrmanagement #BoardMeeting #RecruitersAssociationMalaysia #hrcommunity #jobs

Navigating Challenges in the Field: A HR Professional's Journey to Success in a Humanitarian Mission Excited to share a slice of my journey from the early days of my career, where I embraced the role of a Human Resources professional within a humanitarian mission. Transitioning into this role presented a unique set of challenges and learnings, particularly when tasked with integrating employees into the UN mission. This gargantuan task not only required meticulous planning and coordination but also navigating through the complexities of HRM policies under the UN common system - all of which were new to me. The assignment transported me to remote field locations, where I engaged directly with staff, guiding them through the induction process amidst often perilous and unpredictable conditions. Despite obstacles like security concerns and natural adversities, my commitment never wavered. This two-month project became a crucible of growth, honing my abilities to build relationships, communicate effectively, and make decisive, critical judgments under pressure. The successful completion of this project, aligned perfectly with the project deadlines and objectives, not only earned the appreciation of my supervisors but also propelled me into a new role within the recruitment team. Here's a question for my fellow HR professionals: Have you ever faced a similar challenge where you had to step outside your comfort zone and learn on the job under challenging conditions? How did these experiences shape your professional development? Looking forward to hearing your stories and insights. #HRProfessionals #CareerGrowth #HumanitarianAtWork.
