🌿 Recognising World Wetlands Day today! 🌍 At Store-All, we're passionate about sustainability in our warehousing and supply chain projects. This World Wetlands Day, we are aware of the vital role these ecosystems play in biodiversity, climate action, and global economies. Startlingly, 90% of the world's wetlands have degraded since the 1700s, surpassing the loss rate of forests by three times. This day serves as a call to action—urging awareness, conservation, and restoration efforts. As warehouse owners, builders of projects and innovators, we pledge to integrate eco-friendly practices, ensuring our operations contribute at Bay positively to the health of wetlands. Our latest BV2 warehouse construction utilised the most environmentally friendly resources available to us. Starting Trailhead Digital was more than just creating a digital marketing company. It was about addressing a deeper need to make a positive impact on our environment and break the stigma of digital waste. Living in "data center alley," I saw firsthand the environmental toll of our digital world, and I knew it was time to take action. I've been in marketing for 15 years, and during that time, I've seen countless examples of waste and inefficiency that troubled me. From stacks of printed materials that went straight to the trash to outdated tech equipment filling landfills, it was clear that the industry needed a shift toward sustainability. Watching executives travel across the country for meetings that could have been done over Zoom, and experiencing hours of traffic with cars spewing sulfur dioxide (SO2) into the air, I realized that my work was contributing to the very problems I wanted to solve. The more I witnessed this waste, the more I knew I had to create something different—something green and responsible. So I started Trailhead Digital, a "leave no trace," 100% paper-free, remote, eco-friendly digital marketing company. Our mission is to help small businesses grow without compromising our planet's health. We achieve this through: Remote Work: By operating remotely, we reduce our carbon footprint from commuting and office energy use. Paper-Free Practices: All our work is digital, eliminating the need for printed materials and reducing waste. Energy-Efficient Technologies: We prioritize energy-efficient equipment and data storage to minimize our impact. Recycling and Reusing: We ensure that any tech equipment we replace is recycled or repurposed, keeping it out of landfills. Sustainable Partnerships: We work with clients and partners who share our commitment to sustainability. It's estimated that 80% of office waste can be recycled , and remote work can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 54% . Knowing these statistics, I couldn't continue in the same way without taking action. Trailhead Digital is my way of making a real difference, one that I hope inspires others to embrace greener practices.
