Our recent global study, "The Green Brand - A Comprehensive Report for Sustainable Trends Reshaping Brands," reveals a compelling statistic for brands looking to make an impact in the Lion City: 🌟 24% of Singaporeans strongly agree that they will select a product or service based on its environmental credentials. Here are some insights for brands operating in Singapore from our findings: 🌱 Make Sustainability a Core Pillar of Growth: Brands must prioritize long-term sustainability over short-term financial pressures. Encourage employee buy-in and foster company-wide investment in sustainability by regularly communicating goals and results and inviting innovative ideas. 🌱 Plan and Set Quantifiable Targets: Targets are the compass guiding your sustainability journey. They streamline efforts, lend credibility to initiatives, and enable accountability. Regularly review and adjust targets to align with capabilities and best practices. 🌱 Measure Performance and Communicate Progress: Keep track of performance against targets and course-correct if necessary. After a 1-month break, and a festive Lunar New Year celebration, we're on to the last leg of our Sustainability Masterclass Series 🎉 Yesterday was Day 4 of The Matcha Initiative's 6-day Sustainability Masterclass Series, in partnership with Elitez Singapore, and we were off to a great start! Day 4 started off with a sharing on the participants' "homework" assignment, which was to take a moment to appreciate nature and the interconnectivity between people and planet, before diving into Carbon Management and Decarbonisation, Sustainability Accounting, and Climate Risk Management in corporations. Here are some key takeaways: 🌳 A renewed sense of value in nature 🤓 Learn from big market players: Their successes and failures can guide your own corporate sustainability reporting and transition 💪 Sustainability will make companies more competitive and better positioned in the market, but only if they act fast One thing made clear during the training was that Singapore is already feeling the effects of climate change, and companies need to act now. We're excited for the next 2 days, and for the perspectives and learning our participants will gain!
