There are many reasons to give out awards to recognize people and organizations for their accomplishments. The question is: what type of award meets the occasion. Here is where I can help with the selection as there are hundreds of options and price points. Make sure the award you give is memorable and tells the story of their accomplishment. You want it displayed and for the recipient to be proud to receive it. I have ideas, give me a call for your award program.

Take your award for showing up today. (Yes, only for your participation) I fear to post on social media often I fear what should I say and what not I fear to show up and make a comment I fear and do overthink what to write about Yes, we all have been there, Meanwhile, there are people, pulling themselves in every situation to show up. Yes, this is brave Yes, this takes energy Yes, this proves yourself Yes, this makes you who you are How often are you afraid to show up? While people are making their impact meanwhile. Today, I am giving myself the award and a pat on back for showing up. (You know it is hard some days) PS- Are you eligible for the award today? PPS - How often do you post a week?

Winning an Award: It's More Than Just the Trophy! Did you know that winning an award opens doors far beyond the accolade itself? it's not just about the moment of victory; there's a whole world of extras that come with it, often overlooked but incredibly valuable. Take, for example, the opportunity to be featured in prestigious publications – a benefit that's worth its weight in gold. Normally, securing a spot in a leading magazine can be costly, but winning an award can land you that coveted space for free. And it's not just any advertisement; it's a feature that celebrates your achievement, adding an extra layer of credibility and recognition. So, the next time you're considering entering an award, remember it's not just about the win – it's about the journey and the doors it opens.

Certainly, the value of an award can be influenced by several factors: 1. **Reputation of the Giver**: Awards given by well-known and respected organizations or individuals carry more weight. The reputation of the awarding body can enhance the prestige of the award. 2. **Credentials of the Receiver**: The recipient's achievements and standing in their field can also impact the perceived value of the award. Accomplished and renowned individuals receiving an award can enhance its prestige. 3. **Past Recipients**: The list of previous awardees can affect the award's value. If past recipients are highly regarded, it can elevate the status of the award. 4. **Whether the Award is for Sale**: If an award can be bought rather than earned through merit, its value diminishes. Awards that are seen as genuine recognitions of achievement are more respected than those perceived as purchasable.

Every year, Bob W. gives out internal awards to Bobstars who have stood out exceptionally by embodying our values in their everyday work. The recipients are chosen through internal voting, with each vote accompanied by a short testimonial explaining why that person deserves the award. This year, I received the award for “Communicator of the Year.” But this isn’t one of those posts where I say how humbled I am to announce my award and blah-blah-blah. Though, to be fair, I am humbled and incredibly grateful - it feels amazing to be noticed and appreciated. Here’s the thing: I’ve never really thought of communication as my superpower. It’s always come naturally to me, and we often assume that if something feels easy for us, it must be easy for everyone. This award reminded me how valuable an outside perspective can be in helping us recognize and appreciate our own strengths. TL;DR: Sometimes, the strengths we take for granted are the ones others value most. Don’t forget to step back and let others’ perspectives remind you of your unique superpowers.
