well done making a difference

Hi, I am a St. Jude Hero! My family (Dr. Claudiana Triskatis) and myself moved to the USA last year. As part of living in this great country it was always my dream to run the New York Marathon and this year I will do it - on the day of my birthday! When researching on the race, I realized that I could make it happen and combine this with a bigger reason by fundraising for the kids and families at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: 1) Every donation helps find a cure for childhood cancer. Did you know: Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. 2) Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer. 3) St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. My race is already funded - but like in business, then let's not stop but set the target higher: my enhanced goal is to double the amount and every additional donation will help to support more children and goes straight to St. Jude. 🌟 Exciting News & A Call for Support! 🌟 After a refreshing family holiday where I focused on connecting my kids with their relatives, I’m back on LinkedIn with a purpose-driven challenge. At The Transformation Group, we’re fortunate to align our professional values with meaningful causes. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be supporting our primary charity partner, Tour de Cure Australia, by taking on a personal challenge: running 50km to raise funds for cancer research with Suncorp Group the sponsor of the event. Having recently completed a 450km cycling challenge, this run feels like a different kind of uphill battle without the luxury of training.
