How do you regulate during a staff meeting? We think Kelsey has it down! 🤩 ✔️Sunglasses to dim the bright morning light or block out her expression. 🙄 ✔️Soft seating and grounding on the floor which keeps her from rolling her chair around. 🪑 ✔️Fidget in her hand to squeeze when the conversation could have been an email! 📨 ✔️Weighted animal, which is usually on the lap, but the crab is excellent for some deep pressure on the head. Clearly, she is using this because it is a CRABTASTIC meeting! 🦀 #ItCouldHaveBeenAnEmail #Crab #SensoryToolHouse #StaffMeeting #LoveOurTeam #TeamWork #Neurodivergent #AutismAtWork #Meeting #Sensory #SensoryTools #SensoryToys #Regulation #Fidget

Your friendly voice actor next door... who's occasionally screaming and helping clients connect with their audience in Video Games, Animation, E-Learning, and Commercial projects!
Excuse the flip phone-level quality photo 😅 Saw these two doggos in my backyard this morning. Could I have ignored them and let them wander around the neighborhood? Yes, and some might because hey, you don't know a dog's behavior and attitude until it's too late sometimes. No fault there to anyone who has had that thought process. As someone who has trained a couple of confirmed good boys and someone who has a wife who has a huge heart for animals as well, we couldn't let them just wander around and end up getting hurt maybe. We took about 45 minutes to let them slowly come to us, enticing them with good treaty treats so they went from barking at us to licking our hands, and then got leashes on them (they were sweethearts by the way, just a little scared at first!). Found a couple of phone numbers on the tags and the first one went to a disconnected number. Great 🤦♂️The second one was from a different state, BUT was the correct one for the owner thankfully! They did not live on my road like I thought they did. Was this easy? Yes and no as it took some time from my recording schedule this morning, risked the chance of getting bit by a couple of dogs that originally growled at me, and it took quite a bit of patience as they were a bit skittish from wandering about 5 MILES from home. Was it the right thing to do? I believe so. The owner appreciated it, no one got hurt, and it only took 45 minutes from my day. Do the good thing today, even if it takes some time away from your busy life. You'll feel better about it and it might help someone else, which is what we need more of in this world! ------------------- Need a voice that connects your story to your audience? Dr Sarah Heath's discussion supporting National Human-Animal Bond Awareness Day regarding 'Preparing your pets for Fireworks' is available to watch https://bit.ly/3qWOLP2 (recording starts at 10:50). Why are we sharing this now in March? A large proportion of dogs exhibit some degree of fear of firework, thunder or gunshot noises https://bit.ly/3InMbqE There is a valuable 'Sounds Scary Guide' available via the Dogs Trust and it is not only backed by years of clinical experience, but it is also scientifically proven to be safe, effective, and easy to use. Desensitization can produce an improvement but it does require time. Read more and download the guide here https://bit.ly/3Lj5xz2 #fireworkpreperation
