Burrata is one of the many gastronomic excellences of Italy, and since the production of burrata was until a few years ago very artisanal (or better yet, completely manual), handling during production inevitably compromised its duration. Today's burrata needs to possess a quality that is equal to or better than the artisanal one, but with a shelf life that can reach at least thirty days. It is necessary for both production and packaging machines to be integrated in order to minimize any type of secondary contamination during the manufacturing process. The integrated production and packaging line for burrata consists of two units. The project underwent a long development phase throughout 2023 which initially involved MBP and then PRIMA for the integration of the two units. The PRIMA former is fully automated. This means that spinning, molding, filling the product with stracciatella, sealing, head cutting if required, and unloading the product are all fully automated. The MBP packaging machine, combined with the PRIMA burrata packaging machine, has something that other packaging machines do not have. The transfer system of burratas from the PRIMA forming machine to the MBP machine It is a retrieval system designed to protect the unique characteristics of burrata and not to damage it in any way. On the MBP packaging machine, there are two interesting innovations that allow for real-time control of product weight and automatic rejection of any non-compliant production. The machine also performs high productivity. It can package and unload up to 3000 burratas per hour The first evidence, after three to four months of full production, shows that the fine-tuning work done in 2023 was done to perfection and that the project's goals were fully achieved.

New Leadership to Foster Growth and Recognition for Vins du Centre-Loire The Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins du Centre-Loire (BIVC) has ushered in a new chapter with the appointment of François Bouteille as its Director, succeeding Edouard Mognetti. With a strong background in vine and wine law, a degree in business law, and intellectual property from Bordeaux University, Bouteille brings extensive expertise to the role. His wine industry journey began with the Champagne Trade Association, followed by a consulting firm in Australia that specialized in appellation protection. Most recently, Bouteille held the directorship at the Vouvray Syndicate, where he worked closely with regional winegrowers to elevate their profiles on both local and global stages. Bouteille is determined to champion the values of independent winegrowers while promoting the diverse terroirs and appellations of Centre-Loire wines. His strategic vision focuses on enhancing the region's economic research initiatives to identify new markets and diversify its offerings. "I am convinced that the vineyards of Centre-Loire are poised for greater recognition.
