it’s easy to overlook the small wins. Each meeting you book, each connection you make—these are milestones worth celebrating Take a moment to reflect on your achievements and reward yourself. After all, each step forward is progress. What’s a recent win that made you smile, no matter how small?

A little late posting this but better late than never! Here are the highlights for August! On the personal front: 1. Taking a vacation where I hardly worked at all and when I did, it was because I choose to, not because I had to. 2. My fastest A-10 race in a decade. 3. Not gaining weight while on vacation. 4. My oldest starting High School and a new travel team. 5. Youngest starting kindergarten and my middle one starting 7th. 6. Joined a carpool for both schools and it has been so awesome! On the work front: 1. Completed my SDMO recert. 2. Officially stepping down from doing support for Stewart. This was one of my 10X goals this year so it was exciting to make it happen. 3. Learning to ask two questions: “What can we learn from this?” and “What happened/talk to me about it.” 4. Finished the book Fierce Conversations. 5. Watched a great webinar hosted by Strategic Coach. 6. Watching my team at Stewart evolving and growing their skills as a team. So proud of how far we have come this year. What were your wins for August? Share away!

The time it takes to form a habit can vary widely depending on the complexity of the habit, the person, and the circumstances. A popular belief, often cited from Dr. Maxwell Maltz's work in the 1960s, suggests that it takes a minimum of about 21 days to form a habit. However, more recent research suggests that on average, it takes more than two months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact, according to a study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology. Yet, the study also found that the actual range can vary from 18 to 254 days depending on the habit being formed, the person, and the conditions under which the person is operating. This indicates that the process of habit formation is highly individual and can significantly differ from one person to another. #newhabits #rewireyourbrain
Highlights from the 2024 PGP-USA Annual Team Meeting! This year we learned to "re-wire our thinking habits" by trying to ride a backwards bicycle. The founder of Smoke Monkey BBQ, Eddie Dean, built a backwards bicycle to demonstrate the "un-doing of our understanding." Check out some of our guys attempting the backwards bike challenge below! Through my journey so far, I was fortunate enough to work closely with colleagues on the same goals and personal growth. The disbalance between employee benefits was something I have struggled to bring to everyone in the team in the companies I've worked with. That is why I want to bring this to as many companies, with the goal of unified employee benefits across companies. #HR #HumanResources

Obsessed with helping ambitious companies nail their strategy execution using a variety of tools and frameworks. Creator of #1-3-5 and Founder at Reclaro; simple strategy execution software. Passionate lifelong learner.
Right, I'm all sorted! Tomorrow is our first ever 'open' 1-3-5® workshop helping a range of businesses to learn and then implement our simple strategy execution framework. It's always a challenge when you do something for the first time. I thought we'd get maybe 10 -15 people registered. Wow we're up to 36 now so thankfully we have a large room!!! It's been great working with Craig Huntingdon and RTC North on this. Jill A. has put in a massive effort reaching out to companies and people who would benefit. All of the team Reclaro have worked hard as we're super passionate about supporting local companies where we are based in the wonderful North East. Some people couldn't make the date by having prior arrangements. There's 30 people on that list so I think we could do another in October to help people in the final push of 2024. If you fancy coming along to a fully funded open session let me know. I have to be honest, I am a little intense and it's going to be a full day of learning AND action, so come prepared and have a good sleep the night before ha ha. Ok, so it's now about making sure we have enough workbooks, coffee, pastries and cake for the break!! Here we go! #focus #strategy #execution #businessresults

We’re concluding our review of the D. Bello team’s 2024 goals with some new beginnings (in more ways than one). Jonathan: “As a new golfer, my 2024 goal is to finally break 100 and to avoid losing any more balls in the sand, the rough or the lake." Jeff: “2024 is bringing the Bates family's 4th (and absolutely, positively final) child. So, no, this won’t be the year that I’m cutting my caffeine intake.” What about you? Got any goals for the new year (or exciting additions)? Drop them in the comments below!
