BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!!! Probably a good idea to make your teams aware of this type of stuff. Always good for us to look out for each other in this industry… Check out the details below..
There is an illicit company that is impersonating our organization, NorthHill Technology Resources, in efforts to scam potential job seekers. Unfortunately this despicable behavior is happening far too often and we are one of many firms experiencing this. They are using one-way video interviews, making immediate job offers and then attempting to obtain the prospective candidate's banking information. Absolutely disgusting. They are using a similar email address (we are northhilltechnology.com, they are using northhillstechnology.com with an s added). If anyone has been contacted by someone using that address please direct message me. We are doing all we can to shut this scam down, and if anyone in my network has suggestions on how to stop this please reach out to me. We need to do all we can to stop this despicable, predatory behavior which is becoming rampant.

A new type of corporate fraud: -> Create a proxy job opening on the career portal that encourages external referrals. -> Collect referral candidate details. -> Close the position with reasons like "position filled," "on hold," or "not meeting expectations." -> Create a new equivalent position a few days/months later and interview the same candidate. -> Stop responding to the employee who referred the candidate. This is unethical and fraudulent, especially since it involves misleading candidates and employees. It involves deceptive practices that waste the time and resources of candidates/employees and undermine the trust of employees who refer candidates in good faith. Such actions could harm the company's reputation and may violate labor laws or employment practices. #jobs #softwareengineer #hr #humanresources #hiring #openings #fraud #unethical
