Three of our software engineering interns wrapped up their summer with a final presentation. They have been fantastic additions to Phase 2 over the past two months. We're grateful for your contributions, and excited to see what you achieve next. We're also glad to see how quickly you each embraced our sarcasm 😉.Thank you for all of the value you've brought to our teams and clients! Elijah Coyle Júlia Flores Trina Kenyon

Reflecting on My Interview at Bell Last September, I participated in #BellGeekFest_2023 and had the opportunity to interview for an internship and a full-time position. Although I wasn’t selected, the experience was invaluable. One question that stood out was about the coding best practices I follow. At that moment, I realized I needed a stronger grasp on this topic. Since then, I’ve focused on: - Writing clean, readable code: Following conventions and ensuring my code is easy to understand. - Effective use of version control: Leveraging Git to track changes and collaborate efficiently. - Testing and debugging: Implementing thorough testing and debugging practices for robust code. - Code reviews: Engaging in regular code reviews to learn from others and improve my code quality. Congrats to my friends who were selected – your success is inspiring! I’m excited to continue improving and look forward to future opportunities. Any tips on coding best practices? Let’s connect! #BellGeekFest #InterviewExperience #CodingBestPractices #ContinuousImprovement

Activating your voice can be scary but as the saying goes, “Do It Scared”! Do you remember when your interest in technology sparked? For me, it was when I was 8 years old sneaking into my grandmother’s computer room curiously tinkering with Windows XP! I had no idea what was in store for me from there. Sharing my journey from my HBCU experience, to internships, and the transition to full-time software engineer was initially jarring. Questions like “Am I doing this right?” to “Will others relate and find value?” floated through my mind. But when you follow your passions, have a growth mindset, and are open to feedback, you unlock the potential for continuous learning, which paves the way not only for success but also for fulfillment. It's important to never be ashamed of your story - you never know who’s watching! And with that in mind, I'm super excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at my first-ever shoot experience. I was honored to participate in this during Black History Month and can't wait for this collaborative project to hit the airwaves in the near future! 😆 #tech #diversityintech #sharingstories

What not to do with interns once they join your team: 1. Don’t ask them to work solely on documentation. 2. Don’t assign only PoC (Proof of Concept) work. 3. Don’t involve them in too many meetings. 4. Don’t check on the status of their tasks too frequently. 5. Don’t judge them quickly for any issues.

R&D Intern at Quinfosystems Private Limited|Software Engineer Intern at CYIENT|Student at GITAM Deemed University|JPMorgan Chase Agile Job Simulation Participant
Just completed J.P. Morgan's Software Engineering Internship program on Forage, honing my skills in practical software development. Throughout the simulation, I successfully set up a local development environment, addressing broken files within the repository to ensure the seamless functioning of a web application. Additionally, I utilized JPMorgan Chase’s open-source library, Perspective, to implement a live graph, providing traders with a visually appealing and clear representation of data feeds for effective monitoring. Excited to apply these hands-on experiences and contribute to real-world projects in the software engineering domain. #SoftwareEngineering #JPMorgan #Forage #DevelopmentSkills #OpenSource #ProblemSolving #DataVisualization
