Job opening; A “Normal Human”- Secretary The traditional title is a secretary. But the qualifications and profile are very basic, normal, yet very rare: - punctual. She comes on time every day. No excuses. - Real English. She speaks and writes English language. Not movie and Netflix jargon. - Microsoft office. But more important is that she can and will learn. - Organized. She can do several things. Nothing huge. A report together with a couple of phones calls teams then some Internet research. The usual stuff. - In peace with herself. Makes mistakes, which means she is working. But when she makes a mistakes she simply says sorry, takes action and goes back to work. She won’t fine lame excuses or waste an hour until she admits. And she won’t blame herself and feel guilty for being a total failure. She accepts her humanity. - Responsive. She will respond to WhatsApp messages. Promptly. Answering a message won’t ruin her day. Won’t make her totally stressed. - Committed. She will have personal problems. We all do. But she will deliver. That’s why we are professionals. - Disclaimers. She will come forward and speak her mind. And say if anything is missing. And confirm if she cannot deliver. Before the fact. Not after. - Consistent. She will do it. Regularly. Every day. Because it’s part of her system. - Self aware. She will not promise the moon without being able to do it. She won’t fake capabilities just because she wants the job. Under promise and over deliver. Is this too difficult or impossible? Can we find someone who does this? And in return receive a handsome salary. And a very rewarding bonus system. And a super work environment. With lots of fun and exposure. And nonstop learning in all business fields. And a psychologically safe environment where you can disagree and share weakness and never pay for it. Many people are mistaking secretary to typist but the truth is that, it is different and I would be bringing our notice to it…👇🏾 Firstly, what is Typist: A typist is a person or a clerical worker who types and writes letter etc using typewriter or a computer. On the other hand Secretary is a person that keeps record, take note and handles general clerical work.✅ Although the two may seems similar or related but it is not because they perform different job. Although Secretary can decide to use a system or writing sheet to take his or her minute during or after a minute, but that doesn’t say he / she is a typist. #typist #secretary #differentiation
