Considering the whole, on the heels of Europe Day. Considering strengths, harnessing difference and removing barriers, in the round, to drive stronger outcomes. Cross-border electricity trading in Europe gives us access to a diverse, renewable energy mix and to scaleable markets. All critical elements of attaining the common goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2050. #wholesystem #energymarkets #diverseenergymix
Stronger together: On today's #EuropeDay, we are celebrating a #diverse and #interconnected Europe! 🥳 There is hardly any other area where the European idea is lived as much as in the operation of the electricity grid: At #TenneT, we work around the clock with the transmission system operators in our neighboring countries and keep the grid stable throughout #Europe. 💪⚡ The European internal market reflects the diversity and interconnectedness within Europe. Cross-border electricity trading in the European internal energy market gives us access to a diverse energy mix with the common goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2050. We all benefit from this: ✅ #SecurityOfSupply: cross-border electricity trading allows countries to draw on the resources of other countries to secure their electricity supply when needed. ✅ #Affordability: In the European internal energy market, electricity can always be generated where conditions are most favorable, which helps to reduce electricity prices. ✅ #Sustainability: Countries with high renewable energy potential can export their surpluses. This can reduce the use of conventional power plants and thus the emission of greenhouse gases. Overcoming the energy crisis has also shown the value of strong European cooperation. 🤝 A joint energy supply is key to Europe’s future. 🎯 #LightingTheWayAheadTogether ℹ 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘱 - 𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘴 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.
