Watch Cole Hocker. Not favored to place. Not expected to win. But he did what champions do—he dug deep. He found that extra gear. He kicked hard and he kicked late, upsetting the favorites to claim victory. In business, just like in sports, the odds aren’t always in your favor. The competition might seem unbeatable. The challenges insurmountable. But remember this: Victory doesn’t belong to those who are expected to win. It belongs to those who refuse to lose. When the pressure mounts and the stakes are high: Stay disciplined. Stick to your training, your preparation. Know your plan and execute it. Stay determined. The race isn’t over until you cross the finish line. Keep pushing, keep fighting. Stay driven. Even when the favorites seem ahead, find that extra gear within yourself. Push harder, push further. Cole Hocker’s big kick at the end wasn’t luck. It was the result of relentless training, an unbreakable will, and the heart of a champion. In business, be the one with the big kick. Outwork, outlast, and outthink your competition. Success is there for those who refuse to give up. #TeamUSA #Olympics #Discipline #Leadership #BusinessSuccess https://lnkd.in/eUZxsGTV

Antonio Raimondo: The Emerging Maestro from Ternana Physical: ➡️Acceleration: Shows strong acceleration, enabling him to make dynamic runs and exploit defensive lines. ➡️Sprint Speed: Above-average sprint speed allows him to break away from defenders in open spaces. ➡️Agility: Displays good agility, making him elusive and capable of quick directional changes. ➡️Reactions: While not a standout trait, his reactions are adequate for a forward. ➡️Balance: Maintains good balance, contributing to his ability to stay on his feet during challenges. ⛔️ Defensive Contributions: Antonio's defensive awareness and tackling skills are areas for potential improvement. Limited contributions in defensive transitions may need attention. 🔹 Potential: B+ (Player for Tier 1) Antonio Raimondo is a technically proficient forward with strengths in dribbling, passing, and ball control. Tactically, he excels in movement and decision-making in the final third but may benefit from improved defensive contributions. Physically, his speed, agility, and balance make him a dynamic and elusive presence on the field. With a B+ potential, Raimondo is positioned to become a key player for Tier 1 teams, both domestically and potentially at the international level. Continued development in his tactical understanding and defensive skills will likely see him reaching new heights in his football career.

The Great Debate: Cooperation vs. Competition in Teams Curious about whether cooperation or competition drives better performance in teams? A recent study sheds light on this debate with fascinating insights and clear metrics! Key Findings: 1. Performance Boost: Both cooperation and competition enhance individual performance. However, cooperation achieves this without the added stress. 2. Stress Levels: Competing with a skilled opponent increases stress and heart rate significantly. On the other hand, cooperation maintains a healthier stress level. 3. Long-Term Effects: Over time, cooperation consistently supports high performance with lower psychological costs, while competition’s stress impact persists. Metrics: • Performance: Comparable improvements in both settings. • Stress: 20% higher stress levels in competitive scenarios. • Heart Rate: Notably higher in competition, indicating increased physiological strain. In essence, while competition can drive performance, cooperation does so more sustainably, promoting well-being and efficiency in the long run. Friday thought. There is this idea that Jordan Peterson talks about which I love; He talks about aiming low enough. This doesn't mean not to aim up. It means having the humility to set the bar properly low to allow for small wins. Small wins will generate positive momentum which will lead to more small wins and eventually bigger wins. ex. A good team breaks down its goal of winning a championship into winning each game they play. They break down each game into quarters and focus on the small wins. Progress is getting 1% better every day for many many days.

Making sense of a complex world | Tech founder | Experienced commercial lawyer | International trade and business consultant | Net zero leadership consultant
I am unashamedly a Liverpool Football Club supporter - have been since I was a kid growing up in Malaysia in the 80's when they were the dominant force in English football. The last few years have been a pleasure (and somewhat frustrating) following their travails on the pitch. They have had their ups and downs - but more ups than downs, to be fair. And, this is due to a large extent to the manager Jurgen Klopp. I've always held a fascination about how a manager of a football team can have such an impact upon a team. These are all professional football players - they've been plying their trade for years at the highest level but a manager can be the catalyst to success. In this clip, Jurgen Klopp reveals his own challenges with 'success'. He is perhaps one of the most highly rated and sought after manager in football today but he talks about #winning and losing. What impresses me is how real he is. He sees losing as something that we learn from and it is more important how we react to losing than winning itself. In business, we are obsessed with winning or achieving #success. But, perhaps we ought to learn that we cannot win all the time and success may be one-off. Perhaps the act of picking ourselves up and going again, the perseverance to continue the fight speaks more about who we are as #leaders. Here's a short clip of a longer interview with Rio Ferdinand. If you have the time, I urge you to watch the whole video even if you're not a football or Liverpool fan - it has so many leadership lessons. https://lnkd.in/eUcPprfS
