Hello everyone, I'm excited to share a key project I worked on during my 2nd year as part of the Plant Maintenance & Safety subject. My team and I successfully restored a pillar drill machine from a non-functional state ("zero") to fully operational condition ("hero"). Image 04: A highlight of this project was applying my problem-solving skills to modify the bushing size. Specifically, I increased its size to resolve the issue of a broken driven pulley, which had detached from the machine due to damage at the bottom. By creating a new bushing, we avoided replacing the old pulley entirely, ensuring a cost-effective and efficient solution. This project, completed in my 2nd year, taught me the value of practical problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail in maintenance engineering.

Day's question ⁉️ When inspecting after using the crane, what action should be taken if any damage to the ropes or wires is found? 1. Continue using the crane provided that the lifting load is reduced. 2. Replace the ropes and wires immediately without the need to inform the maintenance team. 3. Record the damage in the crane log and inform the maintenance team to take the necessary action. 4. Ignore the damage if it is small and continue using the crane until the opportunity for maintenance is available.
