Today was day 3 of a 14 day challenge I'm doing using the Headway app. What I like so far is how the curated list built into the challenge introduces me to new books and ideas I probably would not pick out on my own. The short form summary is nice too because I don't have a big time commitment to listen to or read a summary. So if I don't like something it wasn't a waste of time or money since its all built-in to the app and only 15ish minutes. Usually I pick books and stay with them for weeks. I love taking in a full book with the deeper details and context. I feel like I truly learn when I read or listen to an entire book, so I was a little skeptical about the value of short summaries. Although I still prefer the full version to a short summary, I'm seeing the benefits of quick introductions to topics and authors that may broader my knowledge and awareness. I am clearly in love with learning. What are the other ways you like to learn outside of the world of reading and writing?
