𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐲'𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥: 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 We, at the Avey Research Center, are thrilled to announce two key advancements in Avey's diagnostic model, driven by valuable feedback from medical professionals and patients. 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰: Initially, although Avey demonstrated high accuracy (please refer to our published paper in the first comment for verification), medical reviewers found the question order to be not very natural. To address this, we transitioned from a purely "optimal question search" approach to a heuristic-based system that prioritizes a natural flow without compromising accuracy. This ensures that users receive the most relevant questions in an intuitive sequence, culminating in a highly accurate diagnosis. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Despite our research showing that Avey asked fewer questions than our peers with acceptable accuracy, patient feedback indicated that session lengths were still longer than desired. Although more questions can enhance accuracy, we recognize that user experience is equally important. Through rigorous innovation and experimentation, we refined our early-stop mechanisms to be more aggressive. Avey now maintains its diagnostic quality with an average reduction of five questions per session. These achievements would not have been possible without the incredible contributions of my team, Director of Medicine Mohamad Darmach, MD, and my mentor, Mohammad Hammoud. Their invaluable support is deeply appreciated. We look forward to continuing our innovation and enhancing Avey's capabilities.
