Hey Tara Rummer, louder for the people at the back! All, if you've been following us for a while you'll know that company culture is something we talk about ad nauseam. Having a defined company culture makes hiring and retention a breeze. Why? Because you know who you're looking for, and the people that work for you understand what you stand for and know how to conduct themselves as a member of the team. To anyone who is struggling to define your company's culture I recommend bringing your team together and asking them what they think.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Thursd. team for the incredible article they published. The thoughtful questions they asked really made me pause and reflect on so many things in my life. I realized just how blessed I am — not only to have an amazing family but also to lead a company filled with dedicated team members and colleagues who make our journey so rewarding. It's moments like these that remind me how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such wonderful people, both at home and at work. Thank you again, Thursd. and Arnold Wittkamp for this meaningful opportunity to reflect.

🎙️ An inspiring interview on the Underdog show! 🚀 We talked about how life is a constant evolution. When we're young, it feels like everything changes so quickly, and each year is vastly different from the last. You expect it to slow down, but it never does! I'm a completely different person today than I was a year ago, and that's the beauty of growth and transformation. Catch the full interview to hear more about my journey and the continuous changes that shape who I am 🌟 #UnderdogShow #PersonalGrowth #Transformation #NeverStopChanging #MultifamilyOwner #WaterConservation #SmallPropertyOwner #UtilityRanger #SustainableSavings #PropertyManagement #MultifamilyOwner #WaterConservation #SmallPropertyOwner #UtilityRanger #SustainableSavings #PropertyManagement

Returning 11.05.24 I believe I first started Boozestorming in either 2009 or 2010. It gave me the opportunity to bring people together for meaningful discussion and the development of new friendships. In this new phase of life, I’m looking forward to relaunching Boozestorming. It was always intended to be a relatively small gathering —quality > quantity (true with people and beverages). I’m also committed to making sure there are NA options available. Relaunching on Election Day isn’t lost on me. I feel we’ve collectively lost our ability to engage in healthy dialogue. Will Boozestorming suddenly make us united a society? Nope. Will Boozestorming allow us to gain a deeper understanding of other people’s perspectives? Maybe. Will Boozestorming be fun? Yep. (And we could all use a bit more fun)

Reflecting on Our Journey: The Power of Family in Business As we mark another year and acknowledge National Family-Owned and Operated Businesses Day, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey of Trashco Inc. From the humble beginnings when my family decided to venture into the waste management industry, to now, where our name has become synonymous with reliability and community service, it’s been an unforgettable ride. At Trashco, being a family-owned business isn’t just about having familial ties; it’s about cultivating a culture where every team member feels like family. It's about shared values and a collective commitment to excellence that runs deeper than business—it’s personal. Every day, we strive to strengthen the bonds within our team and extend that family care to our clients and community. We understand the challenges and joys that come with running a family-owned business, and we embrace them fully, knowing that every hurdle we overcome is a step towards a legacy of impact and integrity. I want to express my gratitude to all our employees, customers, and community members. You are part of our extended family, and your support fuels our passion and dedication. Here’s to the enduring spirit of family-owned businesses everywhere—may we continue to thrive and set benchmarks for quality and heart in the industry! #FamilyOwnedAndOperated #Leadership #BusinessGrowth #Trashco #CommunityImpact

Today, I want to talk about CRAB MENTALITY, a concept I believe many can relate to, and one that others, particularly those who are new to corporate world, need to understand deeply. Crab mentality, often visualized through the "crabs in a bucket" metaphor, describes how individuals within a group can pull down anyone who achieves success or shows potential, much like crabs preventing each other from escaping a bucket. This mentality is insidious and destructive, fostering an environment where jealousy and competition overshadow collaboration and mutual support. In the corporate world , where the journey is already fraught with challenges and uncertainties, the presence of crab mentality can be particularly damaging. It stifles innovation, erodes trust, and diminishes morale. Instead of celebrating each other's victories, we find ourselves trapped in a cycle of envy and sabotage, which ultimately harms everyone involved. But there is hope and a way forward. By cultivating a culture of abundance, where one person's success is seen as a collective triumph, we can overcome the pitfalls of crab mentality. This shift requires intentional effort and a commitment to fostering an environment where collaboration and support are paramount. Recognizing and celebrating achievements, encouraging teamwork, providing growth opportunities, modeling positive behavior, and maintaining open communication are key steps in this transformation. When we lift each other up, we not only enhance individual well-being but also drive the collective success of our teams and organizations. Also remember that your journey is not just about reaching the top but about bringing others with you. Embrace a mindset of abundance, and together, we can create a thriving community where everyone succeeds. Have a nice day 🫰🏻 #CrabMentality #SupportAndLift #CommunityOverCompetition #RiseTogether #BreakTheCycle #EncourageGrowth #CollaborateForSuccess #PositiveMindset #LiftEachOtherUp #TeamSpirit
