Fatherhood is not a big science, but being a good father involves more than just providing for your children. A smart, loving father nurtures his children, instilling obedience, good manners, and a strong education. Fathers should strive to create a “WOW” factor in their children through positive actions and guidance. As Father’s Day approaches, it’s a time for children to show their love, respect, and appreciation for their fathers. However, it’s important to remember that true respect and care for fathers should be a daily practice, not just a once-a-year event. Unfortunately, sometimes we see well-educated people who publicly praise their fathers but fail to truly honor and care for them in their daily lives. Respect and obedience towards one’s father should be consistent, recognizing that as fathers age, they may require more attention and care. It’s not about feeling obliged, but understanding the depth of what fathers do. They invest significant effort into raising their children, often up to and beyond the age of 25, especially if the child pursues higher education. A father is an umbrella for his children, offering protection and support until they become independent adults. Respecting and caring for him in his later years is a way to honor the lifelong commitment he has shown. HAPPY FATHERS DAY

How Education Came to Influence My Fatherhood By Jerome Danner (Gré Motiv) 2018 was quite the year for me. I became a father for the second time. Two months later, I darkened the doors of a public school for the first time, hoping to enlighten young minds. In the beginning, I thought my fatherhood would influence my profession as an educator. After six years in education, I have come to believe that my vocation has had more of an impact on my calling (my state as a father). When You Are New to Teaching When you are new to teaching, it is easy to come in the halls of a public school with high hopes. You may even have visions of grandeur with thoughts of kids floating in and out of your classroom on cloud nine believing that you are the greatest teacher that they have ever had. (Okay, maybe this was only me.) Nevertheless, blind optimism is soon extinguished by a jolt of reality. When one starts to engage with teenagers and pre-teens, you start to realize that they do not enter your classroom with a longing to grow intellectually. Many of them, maybe most of them, will be dismissive of you and your class altogether. The new educator wants to make a difference in these young people’s lives. Yet, the real difference will take place within them. https://lnkd.in/ei4S6Vyh #teacher #educator #father #parenting

As fathers, our role goes beyond providing; it's about being a living example for our children. Embracing accountability isn't just a personal choice; it's a profound commitment to becoming the best role model. 1️⃣ Teaching Responsibility: When we hold ourselves accountable, we teach our children the value of responsibility. They learn to own their actions and choices. 2️⃣ Building Trust: Accountability fosters trust within the family. By honoring our commitments, we create a foundation of trust that strengthens our bond with our children. 3️⃣ Setting Standards: Fathers who prioritize accountability set high standards for themselves. This sets a positive benchmark for children, encouraging them to aim for excellence. 4️⃣ Navigating Challenges: Life is full of challenges, and being accountable helps fathers navigate them with resilience. It shows our children that setbacks can be overcome with determination. 5️⃣ Fostering Respect: Children respect fathers who stand by their word. Accountability instills a sense of respect for oneself and others, creating a positive family dynamic. Let's recognize that our accountability shapes not only our lives but the legacy we leave for our children. By being accountable, we become the fathers our children admire and emulate. #Fatherhood #AccountabilityMatters #RoleModel"

What a great day at the AHEAD (Association for Higher Education and Disability) Conference…ending with this panel discussion. The key question about what can be done to help students be better prepared for the transition to higher education is worth a lot more discussion and action.

OUR ROLE AS A FATHER: Our role as fathers is multifaceted and profound, shaping the lives and futures of our children. We are providers, protectors, and guides, responsible for ensuring that our children have the resources they need to thrive—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. But our role goes beyond mere provision and protection; we are also their first teachers, instilling values, principles, and a sense of purpose in them from a young age. As fathers, we are the model of strength, integrity, and love. Our actions teach our children how to navigate the world, how to treat others, and how to face challenges with courage and resilience. We are the steady hand that guides them through the storms of life, offering wisdom and support, yet knowing when to step back and let them learn from their own experiences. We must also nurture their emotional well-being, showing them that it is not only okay to feel, but that emotions are a vital part of being human. Through our presence and attention, we teach them that they are valued, that their voices matter, and that they are loved unconditionally. Our role as fathers is also to help our children discover their unique gifts and potential, encouraging them to pursue their dreams with determination and humility. We must lead by example, demonstrating the importance of hard work, empathy, and respect for others. In essence, being a father means being a source of unwavering support and love, a guide through the complexities of life, and a beacon of light in times of darkness. It is a role that demands both strength and tenderness, authority and understanding, discipline and compassion. Above all, it is a sacred duty that shapes not only the lives of our children but also the legacy we leave behind.

Happy Father’s Day! As we celebrate Father’s Day today, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the important role fathers play in our lives and society. 🌟👨👧👦 A Brief History of Father’s Day: Father’s Day, celebrated on the third Sunday of June in many countries, has a rich history. The first known Father’s Day celebration took place on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington, initiated by Sonora Smart Dodd. Inspired by Mother’s Day, Dodd wanted to honor her father, a Civil War veteran and single parent who raised six children. After much effort, the idea gained popularity, and in 1972, President Richard Nixon signed Father’s Day into law as a permanent national holiday in the United States. The Role of Fathers in Shaping Society: Fathers play a critical role in shaping society. They provide not only financial support but also emotional stability, guidance, and moral direction. A father’s influence extends beyond the home, impacting community values and future generations. Fathers who are present and engaged help foster a sense of security and confidence in their children, encouraging them to become responsible and compassionate adults. The contributions of fathers are vast and varied. They teach resilience, instill discipline, and model integrity. Fathers often provide a unique perspective, helping to balance the nurturing influence of mothers with their own brand of support and encouragement. As we honor fathers today, let’s remember the vital role they play in our lives and communities. Their strength, love, and commitment are pillars upon which strong, healthy societies are built. Wishing all the wonderful fathers out there a very happy and fulfilling Father’s Day! 🎉💙 #FathersDay #History #Family #Community #Leadership #Inspiration
