Many aerospace components start with forgings with long extended arms or lugs, and the machines must swing these parts in order to use counter rotation or maintain optimal tool orientation when drilling. UNISIG B-Series deep hole drilling machines are often used for these challenging applications. Our machines configured for aircraft landing gear have very high power headstocks with enormous spindle torque, and when equipped with our advanced CNC and motion controllers these machines can create complex bores to finish tolerances.
